Pop Stars Disturbed Flood Disaster Rescue

So far, the rescue and relief work of the flood disaster caused by historical heavy rain storm since July 19 has been going on in central China’s Henan province. But in the site of the work, apart from the usual workers, there are another crowd of people, who “take the risk” to enter the disaster-hit region, with one of them giving relief supply or saying warm-hearted greetings to the victims and the others taking photos or shooting videos around. Some of them take selfies standing or lying in the water to attract attention online.

The flood control and rescue authority of Xinxiang city, one of the areas of flood that received many such pop stars or web influencers as singer Han Hong and actor Wang Yibo, called on uninvited visitors that want to show their cares to the victimized local people not to go by their own vehicles so as to make way for other rescue traffic, because the condition is still very bad.

Many private professional rescue teams told China Youth Newspaper that in the rescue sites of Xinxiang, the arrival and action of too many pop stars and other unprofessional people may disturb the normal rescue efforts.
