Synopsis
During the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese army, aiming to secure control over Changsha, activated "Black Butler," a strategic agent who had been covertly stationed in China for 15 years, to execute a long-planned deception strategy. Yun Muzhi, a member of the Chinese Communist underground, was killed while investigating "Black Butler."
Yun Hongshen, unaware of his father's true identity, returns to his hometown of Changsha to track down his father's killer, only to be ensnared in a trap laid long ago by "Black Butler." Just as he feels lost and helpless, Yang Ziming, a close friend of his late father and a member of the Communist underground, provides him with crucial support and protection. With Yang's help, Yun Hongshen eventually sees through his opponent's deception.
Under the leadership of the Communist Party, Yun Hongshen joins forces with patriotic youth Wen Yeming. Together, they craft intricate counter-strategies, setting traps within traps. Putting national interest above personal vengeance, Yun Hongshen sacrifices himself as a decoy to expose the Japanese strategic agent embedded within the Nationalist Army. His efforts turn the tide of the conflict, making a significant contribution to the victory in the First Battle of Changsha.
