Synopsis
The wandering physician Ye Ping'an arrives in the divine capital of Luoyang while investigating a mysterious old case. However, a series of bizarre and sinister medical visits earns her the reputation of a witch doctor. Clever and manipulative, she is shunned and feared by everyone. Meanwhile, Yuan Shaocheng, a deputy minister at the Dali Temple, is ostracized as a "dirty rat" due to his origins in the slums. Despite his exceptional abilities, he is met with disdain. Ambitious and ruthless, he eagerly seizes every opportunity to climb the ranks of power.
When a gruesome murder shakes Luoyang, a prominent official is found dead in his home. Strangely, he had summoned Ye Ping'an to treat his heart condition shortly before his death, and she is the only one present at the crime scene. Yuan Shaocheng takes charge of the investigation. Though he senses inconsistencies, he chooses to frame Ye Ping'an for personal gain, using her as a pawn in his political ambitions.
Ye Ping'an seems like an innocent scapegoat in this murder case. But is that really the truth? Little does anyone know, Ye Ping'an has already made her first move in a calculated game of revenge.
