Synopsis
During the Northern Song Dynasty, in a corner of Que'er Alley in Bianliang City, lived a family of five with vastly different personalities: Zhao Bu-you, Wen Yue, and their household. Zhao Bu-you was a low-ranking clerk in the Court of Judicial Review, content with leading a simple life, while his wife, Wen Yue, was determined to buy land and property. Despite their frequent quarrels, the family shared a harmonious bond.
An unexpected incident embroiled the family in the sensational "Plum Boat" case. As they unraveled one case after another, each family member showcased their unique talents, embarking on a remarkable journey of solving mysteries while addressing constant family issues and personal growth.
In the end, the family of five came to understand and accept one another, each gaining valuable growth. Together, they exposed the villain's hypocrisy and crimes, defending both their family’s happiness and the peace of the people in Bianliang.
