Luo Xiaoxiao and Liu Yanze were each other's first loves. Liu Yanze had taught Luo Xiaoxiao combat skills, though she said she didn’t want to learn. Liu Yanze explained that, with his assignments often keeping him away, it would ease his mind if she knew how to protect herself. Luo Xiaoxiao jokingly replied that she could just earn money to hire him as her bodyguard.

This time, the special guest invited to “Rescue Battle” was Luo Xiaoxiao, who ended up winning against Liu Yanze in combat. When they met, both were a bit taken aback, as neither had fully moved on from their feelings. Xing Zhizhi came to find Liu Yanze, asking him to deliver some items for Qin Fei.

Noticing Liu Yanze’s downcast look, he realized that Luo Xiaoxiao was participating in the show as well, so Xing Zhizhi invited him for a drink, which Liu Yanze declined. Qin Fei’s back injury was acting up, and the items Xing Zhizhi sent included a back support, medicinal patches, and ointment. His thoughtful care, along with his warm messages, deeply moved Qin Fei.

Knowing that Xing Zhizhi was on set, she immediately went out to find him, only to discover that he’d already left. Disappointed, she turned to head back when it suddenly started to rain. A familiar umbrella appeared over her head, and she turned around to see Xing Zhizhi still there. He told her that next time, if she wanted to find him, she could just send him a message.

Qin Fei assumed this meant he was busy and needed to be scheduled in advance, but Xing Zhizhi clarified that he simply didn’t want to miss her. Overwhelmed, Qin Fei leaned in and kissed Xing Zhizhi, and the two shared a kiss in the rain. Ka Fei noticed that something had changed between Qin Fei and Xing Zhizhi. Qin Fei told her she intended to keep her distance from Xing Zhizhi, planning not to hear from or respond to him.

This way, by the time the filming was over, his feelings might have faded. Ka Fei thought that Qin Fei’s emotional avoidance was acting up again. During filming, because of an issue with Jin Weiwei, Qin Fei ended up seriously injuring her back while trying to protect Luo Xiaoxiao and was taken to the emergency room. At the hospital, Xing Zhizhi heard about Qin Fei’s injury and rushed over, anxious to see her.

Upon seeing him, Qin Fei told him to keep a safe distance, not wanting to be seen with him and misunderstood by the media. Xing Zhizhi noticed her distant and polite attitude and asked if he had offended her in some way. Qin Fei thanked him for the patches and his concern, saying she appreciated it. Since he was busy with work at the hospital, she didn’t want to take up his time.

She asked Ka Fei to escort him out. Because of her pre-existing back injury, Qin Fei was advised to rest in bed for a month. Ren Siqi brought Qin Fei’s medical report to Director Xiao, hoping to delay filming. Xiao, however, angrily refused, asking who would cover the costs of everyone being idle for a month just to wait for Qin Fei. He said Qin Fei would either need to continue filming or break her contract and be replaced.

Despite Ren Siqi’s pleas, Xiao wouldn’t budge. Liu Yanze, who was nearby, also got scolded by Xiao. Xiao said he had brought Liu Yanze on for his experience, yet now there was such a major issue. Liu Yanze responded that he had warned them that Jin Weiwei lacked the physical strength to participate, but the production team insisted on bringing her in. This remark made Xiao even angrier. Luo Xiaoxiao intervened, interrupting the argument and asking Liu Yanze to leave.

Xiao declared that the schedule would be adjusted to prioritize Luo Xiaoxiao’s availability, and that he would arrange to discuss Qin Fei’s contract termination and replacement in the next two days. Luo Xiaoxiao managed to persuade Xiao to give Qin Fei a week, saying it would be difficult to find a replacement at this stage and that she could cover some filming in the meantime. Xiao agreed to her suggestion.

Luo Xiaoxiao called Qin Fei to share the good news, encouraging her to rest and not worry. Liu Yanze later came to thank Luo Xiaoxiao for stepping in. Luo Xiaoxiao asked why he was pretending not to know her, mentioning how he hadn’t greeted her during the show’s filming. Liu Yanze explained that he thought she wouldn’t want others to know.

Luo Xiaoxiao then asked how he intended to explain their relationship—as first loves, or as an ex-girlfriend who’d been abandoned without reason? Liu Yanze was at a loss for words.
