Liu Yanze hurriedly went over to help Luo Xiaoxiao up when he saw her fall. He assumed she must have tripped because she wasn’t wearing her contact lenses and handed her a bottle of eye drops. Luo Xiaoxiao asked Liu Yanze to help her apply the drops, but as he looked into her eyes, his hands started trembling. Eventually, Luo Xiaoxiao put in the drops herself and told him she had undergone LASIK surgery and no longer wore contacts.

Liu Yanze, feeling played, angrily asked if she was teasing him. Luo Xiaoxiao countered, asking if he thought it was fun to break up so abruptly without a word. Liu Yanze apologized, but Luo Xiaoxiao told him she didn’t join the show just to hear him say "sorry. " If he was going to say it, he should keep it to himself.

Xing Zhizhi asked Qin Fei to spend an entire day with him, but it ended up with him accompanying her on a shopping spree. Qin Fei bought several children’s items and asked Xing Zhizhi to deliver them to Xixi. Xing Zhizhi suggested that Qin Fei should personally say goodbye to Xixi, who would be leaving soon. Qin Fei resisted, saying she wasn’t close to Xixi and didn’t need a formal goodbye; besides, she was busy.

Xing Zhizhi saw through her excuse, pointing out that she had no other plans, and urged her to give the gifts to Xixi herself. When Xixi saw Qin Fei, she confronted her for promising to stay by her side but then disappearing. Xixi told Qin Fei that she had found her own courage and hoped Qin Fei would face her feelings for Xing Zhizhi directly.

Xixi knew that Xing Zhizhi genuinely cared for Qin Fei and hoped she would stop avoiding him. Giving Qin Fei a small token of bravery, Xixi encouraged her to face her challenges head-on rather than avoiding them out of fear of failure. Qin Fei later learned that Xing Zhizhi had sought out a traditional Chinese doctor to learn acupuncture to help treat her back pain, even practicing on himself until his arms were full of pinpricks.

Although she was deeply touched and aware of his feelings, she told him that their relationship had no future. She explained that, just as Xixi says she likes her now and will want to keep in touch daily, she is certain that within a few months, their connection will fade. Every relationship eventually loses to time; she’s seen it in both family and friendships, so why should romantic love be any different?

She suggested they remain friends now, rather than risk losing even that bond later. Xing Zhizhi questioned if she was so afraid of loss that she couldn’t even start, but Qin Fei admitted that was exactly who she was. Disappointed, Xing Zhizhi told her he would be leaving for Linkang County with Xixi, and another doctor would replace him on the show. During the "Rescue Battle" shoot, Jin Na was injured in an accident.

Qin Fei was concerned and stayed to call a doctor for her. Jin Na apologized, and the two made amends. Despite her injury, Jin Na pushed through to the finish line with Qin Fei, bringing the show to a successful close. Luo Xiaoxiao visited Qin Fei afterward, and Qin Fei thanked her for her support, also noting the unusual connection between Luo Xiaoxiao and Liu Yanze.

Luo Xiaoxiao revealed that Liu Yanze was her ex and that she still loved him because she was the one who had been dumped. Qin Fei encouraged her, saying if she still loved him, she should pursue him and try to reconcile. The worst that could happen is being rejected again, and at least she’d know she tried. Making herself happy was most important. Luo Xiaoxiao then urged Qin Fei to pursue Xing Zhizhi as well.

Qin Fei agreed that she couldn’t end things without even starting and resolved to be brave this once. The two friends made a pact: one would go after Liu Yanze, and the other would pursue Xing Zhizhi, each racing to see who would succeed first. Qin Fei made a video call to Xixi, frequently trying to catch glimpses of Xing Zhizhi. Xixi teased her, saying that if she missed Dr. Xing, she should reach out to him herself.

Qin Fei stubbornly denied missing him, but Xixi mentioned that since arriving, Xing Zhizhi hadn’t mentioned her once. When Xing Zhizhi saw Xixi talking to Qin Fei, he told her not to chat with “boring people” during rehab and hung up the call himself. Annoyed, Qin Fei fumed, finding Xing Zhizhi’s behavior childish.
