Xing Zhizhi guided Qin Fei one-on-one in suturing, demonstrating his skills with ease. Qin Fei, noticing his proficiency, asked if he’d ever taught other junior female students this way back in school. Flustered, Xing Zhizhi quickly left. Later, Qin Fei called him, claiming she had a stomachache and asking him to come over immediately. Hearing about her stomach pain, Xing Zhizhi rushed to her home, only to realize she had tricked him.

Seeing how concerned he was, Qin Fei knew he still cared about her. She told Xing Zhizhi that any closure between them should be her decision to make. Xing Zhizhi, however, felt Qin Fei wasn’t genuine in her feelings; he believed she was simply unwilling to "lose. " He reminded her that love wasn’t about winning or losing, and that their relationship couldn’t be dictated by her alone. Pushing Qin Fei aside, he left.

When Xing Zhizhi was eating alone, he had little appetite and prepared to leave. However, the restaurant owner mentioned that a girl had already paid his bill and even set up a prepaid card at the restaurant with instructions to add extra meat to his dishes. The owner commented that it’s rare to find someone so considerate these days and also mentioned she had sketched a drawing.

Xing Zhizhi recognized the girl as Qin Fei, which suddenly made him feel hungry again, so he ordered more food before leaving. Soon, the rescue reality show was about to air. Although Qin Fei seemed indifferent, she was secretly worried. Ka Fei and Ren Siqi waited anxiously for the broadcast. When the episode aired, however, Qin Fei’s scenes had been maliciously edited to make her seem competitive with other women.

The show cut out her hard work and persistence despite her injuries. Viewers began speculating about Qin Fei’s involvement, especially since she had once been rumored to be close to a famous lawyer. Seeing how the episode portrayed her hurt Qin Fei deeply, though she kept a calm front, telling Ka Fei that at least she had achieved some popularity, which was her main goal for joining the show. She remarked that the show’s stance simply differed from hers.

Xing Zhizhi watched the broadcast and overheard the viewers’ misunderstandings about Qin Fei. Knowing it would deeply upset her, he went to find Qin Fei. She asked why he had returned after leaving, wondering if he had come to mock her. Xing Zhizhi told her he understood her pain and that she didn’t need to act strong around him. When he removed her sunglasses, he saw she was crying, so he hugged her to comfort her.

He prepared a meal for her, and with his company, Qin Fei gradually felt better. Reflecting on her career, she admitted that her poor acting when she debuted left a lasting negative impression on audiences, which was hard to change. While she was disappointed at wasting a month on this show, she was ready to move on and focus on preparing for her new role as the second female lead in a drama.

Qin Fei asked why Xing Zhizhi had stopped performing surgeries. He explained that he had developed hand tremors from a rescue mission and, for safety reasons, chose to stop operating. He empathized with how Qin Fei must have felt when she could no longer dance. Meanwhile, Luo Xiaoxiao saw the broadcast and visited Qin Fei. The three shared drinks, and after getting tipsy, Luo Xiaoxiao called Liu Yanze, ranting at him.

Worried, Liu Yanze came to Qin Fei’s home to pick her up. When he took Luo Xiaoxiao home, he noticed someone following them and delivering mysterious gifts to her. Liu Yanze chased after the person but couldn’t catch them. Concerned, he called his security company’s boss and agreed to work as Luo Xiaoxiao’s personal bodyguard. Ren Siqi brought a makeup artist and stylist to Qin Fei’s home to help her prepare for an audition.

Upon entering, he found Xing Zhizhi already there. Initially opposed to their relationship, Ren Siqi was eventually won over by Xing Zhizhi and agreed to let them date. During her audition, the director praised Qin Fei, telling her to await further news. To celebrate, Xing Zhizhi invited Qin Fei to Zero Bar, located more than 30 kilometers away.

After driving to the remote location, she discovered that the bar was owned by Chen Shen and wasn’t yet open to the public. Meanwhile, Xing Zhizhi had actually prepared a surprise for Qin Fei at a different Zero Bar.
