Qin Fei noticed Chen Shen’s feelings for Luo Xiaoxiao. Chen Shen admitted that he had liked Luo Xiaoxiao for a long time and had even opened the bar just for her. Qin Fei didn’t understand his kind of silent crush and asked what he would do if, when they finally got together, it didn’t turn out to be as wonderful as he had imagined. Chen Shen replied that loving someone meant wanting to give without hesitation.

He explained that true love happens when you’re willing to break your own rules for someone, even if you don’t know what the future holds — hiding or avoiding it just isn’t real love. At the bar, Xing Zhizhi was waiting for Qin Fei and thought she wouldn’t come. When she realized she’d gone to the wrong place, Qin Fei quickly drove back.

She opened the door, thinking Xing Zhizhi had already left, but then he began singing to her and even prepared a custom “Miss Hedgehog” cake to celebrate her successful audition. Xing Zhizhi confessed that he would always wait for her to overcome the emotional barrier in her heart, promising not to fear her attempts to run away and to wait however long it took.

He told her they were destined, like quantum entanglement — no matter how far apart, they would always find each other. He urged Qin Fei to trust science and herself. Qin Fei, recognizing her feelings for Xing Zhizhi, said she didn’t believe in science, but she believed in him. She promised she’d overcome her own fears as long as Xing Zhizhi was the one waiting.

During the day, Qin Fei couldn’t stop thinking about Xing Zhizhi’s words, wondering if she should just say yes to him. Ka Fei and Ren Siqi anxiously awaited news on whether Qin Fei had secured the second female lead role, but she was distracted, thinking they were talking about Xing Zhizhi. Finally, Ren Siqi received a call confirming that Qin Fei had been chosen.

He reminded her to focus on her career for now instead of romance, especially since she’d soon be heading to Xicheng for filming. Qin Fei received a message from Xing Zhizhi inviting her to go out on the weekend. She regretfully told him she would be in Xicheng for at least three months for the shoot. In the dressing room, she met the male lead of the drama, Hao Jun.

When she greeted him, Hao Jun reprimanded her, urging her to make the most of this opportunity, take her role seriously, and act with professionalism. Hao Jun, a big fan of Luo Xiaoxiao, treated her warmly, which made Ka Fei think he was a shallow opportunist. Xing Zhizhi sent Qin Fei thoughtful gifts, showing his attentiveness and care. Since there were no sugar-free sesame balls on the market, he made them himself from scratch.

Xing Zhizhi and Qin Fei continued sweetly sharing their daily lives, but Qin Fei faced many challenges during filming. The director constantly criticized her acting, and Hao Jun, feeling she was slowing everyone down, avoided talking to her. Chen Shen explained that Hao Jun disliked her because it was Luo Xiaoxiao who had recommended her to the director when she had no roles lined up. Many believed she got the role through connections.

Qin Fei clarified that although Luo Xiaoxiao had suggested her, she still got in through a legitimate audition. Chen Shen acknowledged this but reminded her that others didn’t know the truth. He encouraged her to work hard and prove herself so Luo Xiaoxiao wouldn’t be looked down on because of her. Qin Fei wanted to reply to Xing Zhizhi, but she felt too distracted.

Determined to prove herself, she handed her phone to Ka Fei, deciding to focus entirely on improving her acting and avoid checking her phone unless necessary. Missing her replies, Xing Zhizhi grew anxious. When an opportunity came to attend a seminar in Xicheng, he decided to go, with Yu Zhecheng tagging along to see Ka Fei. Qin Fei needed to film a breakup scene but struggled to get into character, failing 17 times as she couldn’t cry.

She was frustrated, and with the water truck out of water, Luo Xiaoxiao consoled her, telling her not to worry about others’ comments. Luo Xiaoxiao shared that she had once struggled to shoot a romantic scene shortly after a breakup, filming for three days unsuccessfully until the scene was cut. Qin Fei admitted she couldn’t connect emotionally to the scene and asked Luo Xiaoxiao to describe her own feelings after a breakup.

Luo Xiaoxiao shared that she had felt numb and absent-minded, even cutting her hand while peeling an apple. She explained how the physical pain helped her escape from the emotional hurt, making it easier to bear. Deeply moved by this, Qin Fei removed her waist support and found the emotional depth she needed for the scene.
