Qin Fei finally grasped the essence of acting out a breakup scene. The director thought her approach, focusing more on restraint than tears, was better than before, and the scene was finally completed. Her performance surprised everyone, and Hao Jun even apologized to her, saying she could reach out anytime if she wanted to discuss their scenes. Hao Jun’s assistant, noticing his change in attitude, thought he might be interested in Qin Fei.

But Hao Jun clarified that Qin Fei wasn’t the type of actress he had assumed — though she had average talent, she was incredibly hardworking and a truly dedicated actress. After finishing the shoot, Qin Fei saw a message from Xing Zhizhi, saying Xicheng Park was beautiful. She went to check it out but found it empty and accused him of tricking her. Noticing a Yang Family Restaurant nearby, she decided to have a meal there.

Right after she ordered, she saw Xing Zhizhi, Yu Zhecheng, and some hospital leaders entering to dine, and Xing Zhizhi noticed her too. Luo Xiaoxiao knew Liu Yanze had overheard her conversation with Qin Fei and asked him how he had felt right after their breakup. Liu Yanze said it had been so long he couldn’t remember. Luo Xiaoxiao asked if he had no lingering feelings for her, and he replied, though insincerely, that he didn’t.

When a hotel server delivered a bottle of wine sent by one of Luo Xiaoxiao’s fans, she invited Liu Yanze to have a drink with her. Liu Yanze cautioned her about drinking something from an unknown source, but she told him to leave if he wouldn’t join her. Later, Liu Yanze’s team discovered hidden cameras had been installed in the hotel. He rushed back to find Luo Xiaoxiao disheveled and about to drink the wine.

He covered her with his jacket and poured out the wine, asking her to leave the room. Liu Yanze found a hidden camera in her bedroom but hid it to avoid alarming her. Luo Xiaoxiao sensed something was wrong and tried to kiss him, but he resisted, accidentally dropping the camera, which she then discovered. After dinner, Xing Zhizhi ran out to catch up with Qin Fei.

He apologized for not telling her he was coming to Xicheng, wanting it to be a surprise. Seeing her in low spirits, he sang to her on the roadside, thrilled to have run into her. Qin Fei was also happy to see him. As they strolled, Qin Fei mentioned her difficulties with acting, feeling she had no talent. She felt she could never perform effortlessly, like Luo Xiaoxiao and Hao Jun, and that her progress was slow.

Xing Zhizhi comforted her, saying that acting was just a job and she didn’t need to doubt herself so much. Qin Fei shared that Hao Jun had added her on WeChat and offered to help her anytime. She teasingly asked if Xing Zhizhi was jealous, and he admitted he was, a little. Qin Fei invited him to visit her on set. Xing Zhizhi playfully asked how she would introduce him, and she replied, “As my reserve family member.

” He was overjoyed by her answer. Liu Yanze called in hotel security, whom he knew from his previous job. Upon seeing Luo Xiaoxiao, the security lead mentioned that Liu Yanze often talked about her. Liu Yanze informed them about the hidden cameras in her room. He suggested calling the police, but Luo Xiaoxiao, not wanting to delay the production schedule, refused. Liu Yanze instead asked for tightened security at the hotel.

Luo Xiaoxiao, hearing that the security lead had worked with Liu Yanze before, took the opportunity to ask him why he’d broken up with her so abruptly five years ago. She learned that he’d left for a dangerous secret mission. The day Xing Zhizhi planned to visit, Qin Fei realized she would be filming a kiss scene with Hao Jun. She tried to call him, but he had already arrived on set.

Xing Zhizhi overheard Hao Jun talking to his assistant about Qin Fei, realizing Hao Jun had feelings for her. When Hao Jun saw Xing Zhizhi approaching Qin Fei’s door, he mistook him for a paparazzo. He blocked Xing Zhizhi and tried to grab the sesame balls he was holding, assuming they hid a camera. Xing Zhizhi pushed him against the wall, and Qin Fei, hearing the commotion, opened the door to clarify that Xing Zhizhi was her friend.

Hao Jun asked what kind of friend, but before Qin Fei could answer, Ka Fei stopped her. Not wanting Qin Fei to feel pressured, Xing Zhizhi introduced himself as her physical therapist.
