Xing Zhizhi knew Qin Fei was filming a kissing scene with Hao Jun. Although he didn’t want to put himself through watching, he couldn’t resist and went to the set. Qin Fei had tasked Ka Fei with stopping him from watching, but Yu Zhecheng intervened, thinking that the situation between Xing Zhizhi and Qin Fei had been dragging on for too long without resolution. He felt it was time to “fan the flames” and let Xing Zhizhi see the scene.

When Qin Fei saw Xing Zhizhi on set, she grew nervous, glancing over at him repeatedly, which distracted her during filming. The director had to reprimand her several times, so she forced herself to focus and proceed with the kiss. Xing Zhizhi tried to convince himself it didn’t matter, but he felt uncomfortable. When he saw her finally kiss Hao Jun, he couldn’t handle it anymore and left the set, heading back to her trailer.

After wrapping up, Qin Fei immediately went to find Xing Zhizhi to explain. Seeing her, he impulsively kissed her, and Qin Fei, realizing he was jealous, told him this was just part of her job. Today it was a kissing scene; in the future, it could be a romantic scene, and not necessarily with Hao Jun—it could be anyone. She explained that her work might mean not coming home for months, not dating him openly, or possibly impacting his life.

She asked if he could accept that. Later, Hao Jun approached Qin Fei to discuss the script, but she turned him down. He complained, saying he hadn’t even started pursuing her and was already being rejected. Just then, Hao Jun’s fans spotted them, and Qin Fei remarked that if they were photographed together, she’d face another round of criticism.

Hao Jun commented that she and Xing Zhizhi weren’t well-suited and hinted that Xing Zhizhi had an unusual relationship with Luo Xiaoxiao. Hao Jun took her to see how close Xing Zhizhi was with Liu Yanze, suggesting that if Xing Zhizhi wasn’t connected to Luo Xiaoxiao, he wouldn’t have such a good relationship with her bodyguard. Qin Fei found Hao Jun’s theory absurd.

Qin Fei then saw Liu Yanze and Luo Xiaoxiao together and felt they both still had feelings for each other, so she wanted to help them reconcile. She told Xing Zhizhi that if he succeeded in reuniting them, she would give him a chance to be her boyfriend. Xing Zhizhi was thrilled that Qin Fei had shared these feelings, seeing it as a sign she was serious about their relationship.

He reassured her that despite the challenges she mentioned, they could overcome them as long as their feelings were strong. They wouldn’t end up like Luo Xiaoxiao and Liu Yanze. Qin Fei saw Xing Zhizhi putting in effort to help Liu Yanze and Luo Xiaoxiao reconcile, and he told her he had to work hard for his own happiness since it could be his chance with her.

Qin Fei heard that Xing Zhizhi would be giving a speech at a meeting and wanted to attend. She said he looked incredibly handsome when he talked confidently about topics she didn’t understand. She asked if she could attend as his family member, and Xing Zhizhi was overjoyed. Liu Yanze’s investigation identified the suspect stalking Xiaoxiao, who had left the hotel room after realizing he was being watched.

Liu Yanze believed the man hadn’t gone far, as he hadn’t achieved his objective. He warned Luo Xiaoxiao to be cautious. While she was out jogging, the stalker followed her but was stopped by Liu Yanze, who intercepted him. While Liu Yanze was momentarily distracted by a call from Luo Xiaoxiao, the stalker sprayed him with pepper spray and escaped.

In the meantime, Luo Xiaoxiao, shaken, got into Chen Shen’s car and cried, telling him that she had been trying to reconnect with Liu Yanze, dropping hints and making efforts, but he remained unmoved, telling her they couldn’t go back to the past. This was his answer to her. She wished he would tell her he no longer had feelings for her so she could let go, but he hadn’t.

His tablet was filled with her photos, and he kept checking her social media. She felt embarrassed by her recent actions. Xing Zhizhi later drank with Liu Yanze, who confessed that he didn’t regret breaking up with Luo Xiaoxiao because they had grown so different. He couldn’t see his value as an ordinary person, while Luo Xiaoxiao was beautiful and talented. He felt unworthy of her, like he offered her nothing of value.

Xing Zhizhi suggested that maybe Luo Xiaoxiao understood his work and ideals more than he realized. After drinking, Xing Zhizhi went to Qin Fei and told her that Liu Yanze and Xiaoxiao hadn’t reconciled. Though Liu Yanze claimed he had no regrets, Xing Zhizhi sensed his true feelings were conflicted. He reassured Qin Fei that they would not end up like Liu Yanze and Luo Xiaoxiao.
