Qin Fei's contract was about to expire, and Ren Siqi offered her a ten-year renewal, along with a custom-tailored lead role in a new show. If she signed, she would also gain an additional 3% stake in the company. The contract was extremely tempting, and Ka Fei strongly urged her to agree. Qin Fei felt some pressure, knowing that Ren Siqi had put all his hopes on her. Meanwhile, a patient specifically requested Xing Zhizhi for their surgery.

Yu Zhecheng told Xing Zhizhi this was a great opportunity for him to transition back to thoracic surgery, and the hospital took this surgery very seriously. Even the director hoped he would return to thoracic, so Yu Zhecheng encouraged him to accept. After dinner, the girl caught up with Liu Yanze and gave him a bottle of bruise ointment, saying that, as a nurse, she hoped he’d stay safe. Liu Yanze was silent as he stared at the bottle, and the girl, thinking he disliked it, offered to take it back. Liu Yanze told her he actually liked it very much. Xing Zhizhi turned down the surgery opportunity, passing it to Yu Zhecheng instead.

Yu Zhecheng, puzzled by Xing Zhizhi’s decision to refuse such a good opportunity, complained to Ka Fei that if he got the chance, he could earn a promotion and a raise. She knew he’d been preparing for a long time to return to the operating table, and now that the opportunity had come, she wanted him to seize it. Xing Zhizhi asked her what she would choose if faced with such a decision and whether she could give up everything. Qin Fei said she could. Ren Siqi kept urging Qin Fei to sign the contract, but she hesitated.

Meanwhile, a dance troupe where Qin Fei had once trained used her photos for promotion and was warned by her agency. When Qin Fei visited the troupe, she found out from the current director that her former mentors, including Director Wang, were no longer there. During an interview, the host asked why Qin Fei continued acting if she found it painful. Qin Fei replied it was for livelihood and money. Ren Siqi and Ka Fei, watching, were alarmed and quickly reminded her to be mindful of her words. She then corrected herself, reluctantly stating she had chosen acting over dancing.

Later, during a break from her schedule, Qin Fei saw a notification that the dance troupe was disbanding. She asked the driver to take her to the troupe, where she saw the director bidding farewell to the members. Deeply moved, she informed Ren Siqi that she had decided not to renew her contract.
