Qin Fei had an argument with Lu Yicheng. He felt that Qin Fei had disliked him since childhood, and the more he followed her, the more she resented him. Eventually, he stopped coming home altogether because he believed he had taken his mother's attention away from her. He thought that exposing Xing Zhizhi was justified, as Xing Zhizhi had been in contact with Dr. Ge Wu and was meeting him weekly.

Qin Fei told Lu Yicheng that his actions were an invasion of privacy, and he didn't need to worry about her relationship with Xing Zhizhi. She insisted that he pack his things and buy a ticket to leave the next day. Xing Zhizhi intervened, urging them to stop arguing. He admitted to Lu Yicheng that he was keeping some things from Qin Fei, but it wasn't as he thought. Xing Zhizhi took Qin Fei outside to tell her about Xiao Jia.

He explained that he met Xiao Jia five years ago at Su Man's hospital while volunteering after finishing his internship. A riot broke out in the town, and Xiao Jia's mother protected both of them. Before she died, she hoped that Xing Zhizhi would save her daughter. He recalled carrying Xiao Jia back to the hospital for surgery, but just as it was about to succeed, a shell hit the hospital, and Xiao Jia died on the operating table.

Since then, her memory had become a burden for Xing Zhizhi, preventing him from using a scalpel again. Although he could have stayed in the hospital, seeing Xiao Jia there again after the accident brought back painful memories. He confessed that taking medication only alleviated his symptoms temporarily; stopping would worsen them. He had come to this place because Dr.

Ge Wu suggested that a change of environment might help him heal, though it was also possible he might never recover. Qin Fei hugged Xing Zhizhi, assuring him she wouldn’t leave and would stay by his side. She was angry that they had agreed to share their burdens but now he was leaving her behind. Qin Fei declared she had brought study materials and would use them to "enslave" him, ensuring he wouldn’t have any time to relax.

Luo Xiaoxiao informed Qin Fei that Liu Yanze had come back wanting to reconcile with her. Qin Fei advised her not to agree too easily and to test his sincerity. When Qin Fei saw Liu Yanze trying to be attentive to Luo Xiaoxiao, she intervened. Liu Yanze was frustrated that he hadn’t been able to see Luo Xiaoxiao, so he turned to Xing Zhizhi for help in dealing with Qin Fei.

Xing Zhizhi asked Liu Yanze if he was ready to take responsibility for Luo Xiaoxiao for a lifetime. Liu Yanze assured him that he was serious and hoped for Xing Zhizhi's assistance. To help Liu Yanze see Luo Xiaoxiao, Xing Zhizhi intentionally took Qin Fei to the electrical room, creating an opportunity for Liu Yanze. Liu Yanze confessed to Luo Xiaoxiao that everything he had said before was a lie.

He claimed that his relationship with Li Xue was over and asked Luo Xiaoxiao for another chance, expressing that he didn’t want to lose her again. He had worked hard to buy the apartment they once rented together, even if it wasn't as nice or big as the place she lived in now. Luo Xiaoxiao replied that it wasn’t about material things; she just wanted to know why he had broken up with her.

Despite her repeated attempts to reach him, he had always rejected her. Liu Yanze explained that he felt unworthy of her, suffering from low self-esteem because she was a star and he merely her cousin. However, he now realized that as long as he could be with her, he was willing to be the “stinky bodyguard” others called him because she was what mattered most to him. At Xi Xi's uncle's house, they were struggling to sell grapes.

Xi Xi's aunt and uncle wanted to invite the boss of the exhibition to their home for negotiations. Xi Xi suggested that Luo Xiaoxiao join them to help discuss the price. However, the boss who showed up was Wang, who had previously harassed Luo Xiaoxiao. When Wang tried to take advantage of her during a handshake, Liu Yanze stepped in and tightened his grip. Luo Xiaoxiao remarked that her bodyguard had a strong grip and hoped Wang wouldn’t mind.

Wang, however, refused to back down and insulted Liu Yanze, calling him a “stinky bodyguard. ” Luo Xiaoxiao defended Liu Yanze, stating that she liked her “stinky bodyguard. ” Xi Xi's aunt and uncle also supported Luo Xiaoxiao and kicked Wang out. Hearing Luo Xiaoxiao acknowledge Liu Yanze made him very happy, and they reconciled.
