Xu Lai told Han Fang that she had reconciled with Jin Shichuan and that he referred to her as his family, and they would never separate again. Huo Yanzong was on the second floor and overheard every word Xu Lai said as if he had suffered a great loss. Han Fang wanted to console him, but Huo Yanzong just wanted to be alone. In the following days, Huo Yanzong didn't go to work at Cloud Open, which worried Han Fang. He informed Xu Lai about it. Xu Lai wanted to inform Jin Shichuan, but he was on a mission, so she went to Huo Yanzong's house alone to find him. Han Fang called Yu Shishi and coincidentally saw Huo Yanzong at the same bar. At first, she didn't want to intervene, but seeing Huo Yanzong's drunken and sorrowful appearance, she couldn't help but soften her heart and drove him home.

Huo Yanzong saw Xu Lai at the entrance of his house and instinctively pulled Yu Shishi in for a kiss. Xu Lai saw it and felt relieved. She quietly left. Xu Lai went home and blocked him. Jin Shichuan didn't know what to do and went to seek help from Lu Fangqi at the station. Lu Fangqi informed everyone about the situation, and they all brainstormed ideas to help Jin. However, their suggestions were all terrible. The next day, Jin Shichuan took a few people and boarded a bus with Xu Lai. However, Xu Lai recognized the masked individuals as their colleagues at the station, so she asked them to get off at the next stop.
