Yu Shisan felt some affection for Chu Yue, realizing that their interaction couldn't continue. He intended to leave, but Chu Yue didn't want him to go. Yu Shisan had no choice but to accompany Chu Yue around Jinsha Tower, allowing her to experience a life she had never known.
After playing for a while, Chu Yue rested in the room. Yu Shisan initially planned to leave quietly, but Jin Meiniang happened to block his way. Jin Meiniang noticed that Chu Yue was the type of girl Yu Shisan liked the most. They discussed their past love history, and Jin Meiniang asked if Yu Shisan had ever loved her. Yu Shisan didn't deny it, and Jin Meiniang admitted her love for him. They reconciled, and Jin Meiniang let go of her lingering resentment from their past relationship.
Emperor An dreamt that Ren Xin killed him to avenge Empress Zhaojie. Upon waking, he suspected Ren Xin killed the Crown Prince to avenge the Empress. Emperor An summoned Deng Hui to inquire about this, and Deng Hui did not deny it. The emperor thought Deng Hui deliberately deceived him and threatened that if he didn't see Ren Xin's corpse within half a month, Deng Hui's own corpse would be seen.
Ruyi learned from Jin Meiniang that Yu Shisan had taken Chu Yue to Jinsha Tower for entertainment. Ruyi waited for Yu Shisan to return and questioned him about whether he knew Chu Yue was the future wife of Duke Changqing and if he harmed her. Yu Shisan assured Ruyi that he hadn't harmed Chu Yue, and only then did Ruyi let him go. Ning Yuanzhou received information that Emperor An was transferring Emperor Wu, and Ruyi analyzed the route, predicting that Emperor Wu would be moved to Donghu Grass Cottage.
Ning Yuanzhou and his team gathered information about Donghu Grass Cottage and prepared for the rescue mission. Chu Yue, upon hearing that Yong'an Tower was on fire, came to witness the commotion. Deng Hui, pursuing her, asked if she had seen anyone outside the city on the day she saw Duke Changqing. Chu Yue denied encountering strangers. She informed Li Tongguang about Deng Hui's inquiries regarding Ruyi, using Yu Shisan's method of showing weakness. Li Tongguang acknowledged his previous bad attitude and didn't reject Chu Yue's goodwill.
Chu Yue questioned Li Tongguang about the process of him falling for Ruyi and realized she had fallen for Yu Shisan. She proposed a fake marriage between her and Li Tongguang, without the need for mutual respect, stating that she deserved a better man. If Li Tongguang succeeded in the future, she wanted a title with real power and land. Li Tongguang gladly agreed.
Chu Yue guessed Yu Shisan's identity and went to the Sifang Pavilion, revealing to Yu Shisan that the Zhuyi Guards had targeted her due to Duke Changqing's matter. Yu Shisan thanked Chu Yue for her kindness and assured her that people in Jinsha Tower wouldn't spread rumors. Chu Yue showed goodwill to Yu Shisan, who, being a member of Liu Dao Tang, directly rejected her due to their disparate identities.
Jin Meiniang, aware that Deng Hui was investigating Ruyi's whereabouts, closed the Andu branch of Jinsha Tower. Fearing that she might endanger the mission, Ruyi decided to leave the Sifang Pavilion immediately. Ruyi, accustomed to parting ways, was stopped by Ning Yuanzhou. Realizing she should get used to saying goodbye before parting, Ruyi followed Ning Yuanzhou to a special place before their separation.
