A Moment But Forever Episode 36 (Ending) Recap
> A Moment But Forever Recap
Mei Shan Jun was restrained by Han Nv, and just as she was about to kill him, Qian Lin and Tang Hua arrived in time to save him. The three joined forces to stop Han Nv, but even together, they were no match for her and were severely wounded. Mei Shan Jun, with no other choice, used his life to buy time and was ultimately killed by Han Nv.
Qian Lin and Tang Hua also prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice, intending to stall Han Nv with their lives to help Ji Tan Yin rescue Yuan Zhong’s consciousness. Han Nv looked down on them, believing that with their weak powers, she could easily kill them both. However, just as she was about to strike, Yuan Zhong and Ji Tan Yin suddenly appeared. Seeing that Yuan Zhong had regained his consciousness, Han Nv realized her cause was lost.
She had no intention of turning back. No matter how Ji Tan Yin tried to persuade her, Han Nv's pride would not allow her to admit defeat. She attempted to take her own life and planned to weave all of Mount Fangwai into a tapestry. Yuan Zhong, Ji Tan Yin, and the others tried to stop her, but could do nothing—especially since there were others still on the mountain, their priority had to be saving lives.
Ji Tan Yin once again tried to persuade Han Nv to give up and leave with them to preserve her life, but Han Nv had already made up her mind. She pushed Ji Tan Yin away and ultimately used her own life to weave the entire Mount Fangwai into a tapestry. Watching Han Nv complete the tapestry with her life, Ji Tan Yin felt a trace of sorrow.
After all, when Ji Tan Yin had just ascended to the divine realm, Han Nv had taken great care of her. The two had once been as close as sisters. Everything returned to normal. The War Demons, the Youhu Clan, and the human race made peace and ended the wars. The people once again lived in peace and prosperity.
The stories of Yuan Zhong, Ji Tan Yin, and the others rescuing the world were compiled into books and recounted by storytellers for all to hear. Some of the people became curious, wondering if the divine maiden Wu Shuang was actually the mute girl from Mount Wu. At first, the storyteller refused to say, claiming he was only recounting tales.
But the tips were too generous, and in the end, he continued with the story of the mute girl from Mount Wu. Tang Hua arrived at the city lord’s residence to look for Zhi Dai, only to find that she had already passed the title of city lord to Shen Ying and left alone. Tang Hua was unable to find her. After Tang Hua left, Shen Ying entered Zhi Dai’s room.
There, Zhi Dai, now with white hair, sat in a wooden wheelchair. The reason she didn’t want to see Tang Hua was that she didn’t want him to see her aged appearance. In a hurry to find Zhi Dai, Tang Hua was stopped by Qian Lin, who invited him to attend the War Demons’ celebration. But Tang Hua, still intent on finding Zhi Dai, asked Elder Xin Yao to attend in his place.
Unable to see Zhi Dai, Tang Hua began writing her letters, sharing tales of his journeys and the emotions he experienced along the way. Zhi Dai, upon reading them, felt comforted, yet still couldn’t bring herself to face Tang Hua with her aged appearance. Yuan Zhong and Ji Tan Yin visited a teahouse and saw that business was thriving. War Demons and humans sat together in harmony, which comforted them both. However, Ji Tan Yin looked pale and weak.
She expressed a desire to visit Juan Juan, and Yuan Zhong readily agreed. Yuan Zhong took Ji Tan Yin to see Juan Juan. They arrived beneath a tree, where Ji Tan Yin wished to rest. The two leaned against each other, chatting quietly. Gradually, Ji Tan Yin grew weary, leaned on Yuan Zhong’s shoulder, and fell asleep—her body slowly fading away. Yuan Zhong watched helplessly as the woman he loved vanished before his eyes, his heart breaking.
Yuan Zhong had earned the right to ascend to godhood, but he had no interest in divine power. Even the promise of supreme might couldn’t move him—until he learned that he could see Ji Tan Yin again. That moved him. He recalled the moment they first met and the journey they had shared. Although Ji Tan Yin’s physical form had disappeared, as the mute girl from Mount Wu, she had walked the world and left behind traces of her spirit.
That lingering spirit could take form in flowers, plants, or trees. Yuan Zhong now waited, hoping that one day, he and Ji Tan Yin could meet again.
