Shi Yan took Zheng Shuyi to watch the stars. Zheng Shuyi mentioned that she hadn't prepared any camping equipment, but Shi Yan assured her that he had everything ready. What she didn't know was that Shi Yan had reserved the rooftop private room and bought a car full of roses to surprise her.

Qin Shiyue and her family celebrated the New Year with Guan Ji and his son. Guan Ji noticed Qin Shiyue busy with her phone and asked if she had found a partner this year. Qin Shiyue, lost in the sweetness of her love life, explained that Guan Ji, as a playboy, wouldn't understand this feeling.

After dinner, Shi Yan accompanied Zheng Shuyi to the hotel's balcony to watch the New Year's fireworks. Although they hadn't officially confirmed their relationship, they still found it very sweet to celebrate the New Year together. Shi Yan had originally planned to confess his feelings but changed his mind when he saw Zheng Shuyi making a wish for a successful career. He discreetly instructed the waiter to deliver the message he had prepared to Shi Yan's old house for Shi Huaiman, leaving Zheng Shuyi somewhat disappointed.

Qin Shiyue took the opportunity during the New Year's visit to ask if she could pursue Yu You, but Yu You explained that they weren't a good match, and he didn't want to make any mistakes in his love life. Zheng Shuyi told her friend Bi Ruoshan that Shi Yan had prepared a car full of roses for her but hadn't expressed his feelings. Bi Ruoshan learned that Zheng Shuyi's New Year's wish was to upgrade the electronic publication, finding Zheng Shuyi's ideas strange, which explained why Shi Yan didn't confess at the time.

Zheng Shuyi brought Bi Ruoshan to Guan Xiangcheng's horse ranch for a visit, and they unexpectedly ran into Shi Yan and Guan Ji. Guan Ji was delighted to see Bi Ruoshan and took the initiative to show her around the ranch. Tang Yi was also invited to Guan Xiangcheng's horse ranch and saw Zheng Shuyi there again. To avoid a meeting, she had Guan Xiangcheng take her to a winery to taste new wine.

Guan Ji specially helped Zheng Shuyi and Bi Ruoshan choose gentle horses to ride and even offered to teach them horseback riding. Shi Yan, feeling a bit upset about something, intentionally made things difficult for Zheng Shuyi. Bi Ruoshan noticed there was an issue between Shi Yan and Zheng Shuyi and advised Zheng Shuyi to act a little coquettish towards Shi Yan, suggesting that it might work if he cared about her. Zheng Shuyi, however, felt that she and Shi Yan were practically strangers, with him being as unpredictable as the wind, and she couldn't understand him.

Shi Yan overheard a conversation between Zheng Shuyi and Bi Ruoshan in the dressing room. After Bi Ruoshan left, he took the initiative to help Zheng Shuyi fasten her belt and acted intimately. He asked why they were still strangers after meeting the day before, leaving Zheng Shuyi surprised and puzzled by his sudden change.

Guan Ji taught Bi Ruoshan how to ride a horse and talked about why he loved horseback riding. He explained that it made him feel free and unrestricted, close to real freedom. Bi Ruoshan also enjoyed the feeling of freedom, and they found common ground in their preferences. While taking a break from horseback riding, Shi Yan asked Zheng Shuyi why she had intentionally approached him during their first meeting. Zheng Shuyi initially mentioned that it was for an interview, as both Yun Chuang and Shi Yan were very appealing to her.
