Zheng Shuyi could tell that Shi Yan lacked confidence because Bruce left Le'an. She believed that Shi Yan was more outstanding than Yi Yang and that Bruce leaving Le'an was not solely Shi Yan's problem. Zheng Shuyi used her internship experience, where her articles were rejected, as an example to demonstrate that everyone faces setbacks, and those who haven't faced setbacks won't succeed. She firmly believed that Shi Yan would successfully overcome this hurdle with the support of herself, Guan Ji, Yu You, and Chen Sheng. Seeing Zheng Shuyi's confidence in him, Shi Yan couldn't help but kiss her.

Shi Yan regained his composure and decided to come up with some solutions. He went to the office early on a weekend to work. Upon learning that Shi Yan was working on the weekend, Zheng Shuyi, along with Qin Shiyue and Yu You, decided to go to the art gallery first and then join Shi Yan at Yun Chuang. Qin Shiyue, Zheng Shuyi, and Yu You visited the exhibition together, with Qin Shiyue actively explaining art knowledge to everyone. Zheng Shuyi praised Qin Shiyue for her artistic cultivation, unaware that Qin Shiyue had secretly studied Baidu Baike all night. Zheng Shuyi learned from her mother that Yu You's mother was the dean of the School of Fine Arts. Qin Shiyue awkwardly admitted to bluffing Yu You about art, and Zheng Shuyi comforted Qin Shiyue, suggesting that Yu You probably didn't understand art at all.

In order to accompany Shi Yan to work overtime, Zheng Shuyi left hastily after the exhibition. Qin Shiyue, wanting to be alone with Yu You, pretended to have booked two movie tickets. Yu You, not wanting Qin Shiyue to be upset, volunteered to accompany her to the movies.

While at Yun Chuang, Zheng Shuyi coincidentally encountered Qin Lezhi. Qin Lezhi mistakenly thought there was something between Zheng Shuyi and Qiu Zong and warned her that Qiu Zong's wife was the deputy general manager of a self-media operation company. Zheng Shuyi sarcastically remarked that Qin Lezhi had given up his past life, leaving him annoyed. Shi Yan had already learned from Qin Shiyue that Zheng Shuyi had accompanied a blind date to the exhibition. He intentionally asked Zheng Shuyi why she dressed so nicely, and Zheng Shuyi had to explain that it was for him to see. When Shi Yan noticed Zheng Shuyi looking at him in a daze, he playfully approached her, unintentionally causing Zheng Shuyi to misunderstand and feel embarrassed.

The more Zheng Shuyi got to know Shi Yan, the more she appreciated him. She felt she was deviating from her original purpose, which was to get close to Shi Yan for a financial interview and to impress Yue Xingzhou. Now, she wanted to be with Shi Yan and face the unknown future together, overcoming all challenges. She shared her thoughts with Bi Ruoshan, who supported Zheng Shuyi's decision to be with Shi Yan, considering it wouldn't be a loss to marry into a wealthy family. Zheng Shuyi, waking up from her lunch break, listened to Bi Ruoshan's voice message, but to her surprise, Shi Yan was in the bathroom when she returned from the meeting. After some probing, Shi Yan pretended not to have heard Bi Ruoshan's message, but deep down, he was disappointed that Zheng Shuyi had ulterior motives for getting close to him.

On the way home after watching a movie with Yu You, Qin Shiyue tried to get closer to him, but Yu You mistakenly thought she was tired and offered to take her home. During the ride, Qin Shiyue remembered Bi Ruoshan's advice to be straightforward in pursuing someone and asked Yu You if he had a girlfriend, expressing her desire to visit his home.

Yi Yang once again came to Financial Interview to meet Zheng Shuyi. He was determined to have Zheng Shuyi interview him and explicitly expressed his liking for her, surprising Zheng Shuyi.
