Shi Yan ignored Zheng Shuyi's request for a kiss and ushered her into the room to rest. At the hotel, Shi Yan unexpectedly encountered Qin Shiyue, who explained that she was there to learn at the chip conference. Upon learning that Qin Shiyue came with Guan Ji to Fucheng, Shi Yan advised her to focus on her studies. Shi Yan initially wanted to introduce Zheng Shuyi to his niece, but Zheng Shuyi, not wanting to meet his niece "Qin Lezhi," politely declined, citing work as an excuse.

After finishing work, Shi Yan gathered with Guan Ji and Yu You. Guan Ji saw Shi Yan responding to messages and inquired, learning that Shi Yan already had a girlfriend, though he did not reveal her name. Shi Yan mentioned that he would inform Guan Ji and Yu You when his girlfriend wanted to go public. Guan Ji asked about their love stories, and Shi Yan mentioned that the other person might have flirted initially, but it turned out to be the right person. Shi Yan inquired about Yu You's love life, and Yu You admitted that currently, the right person was not interested in him, while the unsuitable ones were interested. Yu You also expressed his recent contemplation on relationships, emphasizing the importance of mutual interest instead of using problem-solving methods to find a partner.

Zheng Shuyi was very worried about meeting Shi Yan's niece, "Qin Lezhi," fearing that Shi Yan would realize her true motive for getting close to him was to retaliate against Qin Lezhi. Zheng Shuyi and Shi Yan arrived at the chip conference, and to avoid meeting Shi Yan's niece, Zheng Shuyi asked Shi Yan to enter the conference first while she met a friend. They planned to meet in the conference hall later.

In the chip conference, Zheng Shuyi did not see Qin Lezhi but encountered Qin Shiyue. After exchanging a few words, Qin Shiyue hurriedly left upon seeing Yu You. Qin Shiyue found Yu You and greeted him, causing Yu You to feel a bit jealous.

In the conference hall, Shi Yan, Yu You, and Yi Yang simultaneously noticed Zheng Shuyi. All three invited her to join them, and in the end, Zheng Shuyi, feeling extremely awkward, sat next to Shi Yan, citing Shi Yan's invitation as the reason. Yi Yang intentionally changed seats to sit next to Zheng Shuyi for communication purposes, while Shi Yan publicly held hands with Zheng Shuyi to display possessiveness.

Guan Ji ran into Bi Ruoshan and colleagues interviewing at the chip conference. During the conference break, Zheng Shuyi felt unwell and wanted to return to the hotel. Shi Yan arranged for someone to take her back to rest. During the break, Shi Yan learned that Zheng Shuyi had returned to the hotel and requested painkillers, causing him to worry. He returned to the hotel to check on Zheng Shuyi. Unable to sleep due to discomfort, Zheng Shuyi saw Shi Yan specifically coming to visit her and playfully asked him to comfort her. With Shi Yan's company, Zheng Shuyi gradually fell asleep.

Zheng Shuyi was awakened by her mom's phone call. Her mom once again urged her to go out for dinner and a movie with Yu You. Although Zheng Shuyi emphasized that she had a preference for a different type and didn't like someone like Yu You, her mom clearly didn't believe her words. Shi Yan overheard Zheng Shuyi's call and asked if her family was urging her for a blind date. Zheng Shuyi had to explain that she was choosing a pet dog.

Bi Ruoshan came to visit the unwell Zheng Shuyi and saw Shi Yan had prepared lunch for her, praising Shi Yan as an ideal boyfriend. Feeling guilty about Shi Yan's kindness, Zheng Shuyi wanted to confess her initial motives for getting close to him. However, Bi Ruoshan believed it was not the right time to confess. She warned Zheng Shuyi that if Shi Yan found out she deceived him and chose to break up, could Zheng Shuyi accept the consequences?

Shi Yan specially visited Professor Li and hoped he could help Le'an Technology develop Chinese chip technology. Professor Li appreciated Chen Kang and promised to consider cooperation between the laboratory and Le'an, exchanging knowledge. Zheng Shuyi received an invitation from her senior Chen to attend his wedding on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year. She agreed to attend but later learned from Chen that Yue Xingzhou would also be attending with Qin Lezhi.
