Ling Yang returned home and kept staring into space, recalling the scene where Xie Yufei kissed him. Guan Pei approached Ling Yang, trying to snap him out of it and asked what was wrong. Ling Yang remained in a daze and didn't respond. Xie Yufei was also lost in thought. When her senior saw that something was off and she was in a bad state, he asked her what was wrong, but she remained silent. Her senior invited her to have a meal and asked what she wanted to eat. She absentmindedly replied, "Pig's trotters." When she snapped out of it and handed the teacup to her senior, she left on her own.
Ling Yang was participating in a food livestream when Xie Yufei showed up at the scene. Ling Yang was momentarily stunned upon seeing her, but he regained his composure with the host's reminder. As soon as the livestream ended, Ling Yang noticed that Xie Yufei was about to leave and hurriedly chased after her. However, he couldn't find her. Guan Pei saw Xie Yufei following behind Ling Yang and wanted to help his friend. So he asked Ling Yang if he liked Xie Yufei. Without thinking, Ling Yang blurted out against his true feelings, saying that he didn't like Xie Yufei at all with her mind full of theories. Xie Yufei felt heartbroken upon hearing this, and Guan Pei quickly hinted to his friend. Ling Yang turned back and regretted his words.
Xie Yufei was with her senior, telling him that she had just experienced a heartbreak. Her senior tried to console her, suggesting that it might be a misunderstanding. He even suggested that Xie Yufei try kissing him to test her feelings. However, he was rejected, and he felt disheartened too. He couldn't bring himself to confess his hidden feelings for her, fearing that it might ruin their friendship.
