Ling Yang brought Xie Yufei to a secluded place. He quietly reminded himself that the first thing he needed was a strong and domineering attitude, a commanding presence that would captivate others. He didn't need wealth, but he wanted to exude a natural masculine aura that would quickly attract women. Ling Yang believed that someone as strong-willed as Xie Yufei would surely be drawn to this naturally powerful presence. After mentally preparing himself, Ling Yang calmly asked the waiter to take their order.
Xie Yufei was puzzled by why Ling Yang wanted to give her a gift. Ling Yang then casually expressed his request for Xie Yufei to become his girlfriend. Thinking that Ling Yang wanted her help again to hide things from his parents, Xie Yufei felt frustrated and pointed out Ling Yang's irresponsibility, saying he acted as if nothing happened after being intimate. Ling Yang, feeling uncertain, feared that if he forced himself on her or imposed restrictions, his father would put an end to everything. On the other hand, Xie Yufei calmly recalled the theories she had read about male courtship behavior towards females in the animal kingdom.
Ling Yang mistakenly thought that Xie Yufei was hinting at wanting him to buy her a house, so he took out a limited edition bag he had bought for her. However, Xie Yufei deemed it impractical, leaving Ling Yang baffled by her thought process, which seemed different from others'. Xie Yufei believed that Ling Yang had some mental issues and difficulty communicating with others, and she accused him of lacking empathy. Ling Yang felt stunned by her remarks, and Xie Yufei advised him not to shy away from seeking help.
After dropping Xie Yufei back home without much reaction from her, Ling Yang hurriedly chased after her. Xie Yufei took out her phone and told Ling Yang that he hadn't met the requirements yet and that they couldn't start a romantic relationship. Xie Yufei even went as far as making an appointment for Ling Yang at a psychiatric hospital. Though a bit angry, Ling Yang couldn't help but feel helpless because he liked her so much.
