Guan Pei saw Ling Yang return and lie down on the sofa with a dejected look. He jokingly mocked Ling Yang, saying it seems that dealing with a mother-in-law is not easy. Ling Yang regretted not studying chemistry well when he was young, now he feels like he's almost illiterate. He even guessed that Xie Yufei's family must be having a meeting now. Xie Yufei's parents think that Ling Yang is too different from their daughter, and Xie's father worries that they won't have any topics to talk about since Ling Yang doesn't even understand the periodic table. Xie Yufei proposes that Ling Yang meet her parents, but Xie's father thinks Ling Yang is not suitable for his daughter. He asks his daughter for the address of the restaurant. Xie Yufei directly takes Ling Yang and tells her parents that he's the one who cooked all the meals they've been having these days. Xie's father is surprised to hear this.
