Wei Ming's mother learned that Wei Ming had given Lin Shuang 500,000 yuan to buy insurance for Guo Guo. She suspected that Wei Ming had something on Lin Shuang. Wei Ming refused to admit it, but his mother noticed that Lin Shuang had been acting strangely recently and warned Wei Ming to be more careful. During the weekend, Wei Ming asked his parents to help take care of Guo Guo and took Lin Shuang out to relax. Lin Shuang was curious about what tricks Wei Ming had up his sleeve, so she went along with him.

Wei Ming took Lin Shuang back to the university campus, where they had first met. He had carefully arranged a celebration for their tenth wedding anniversary at the same place. He even invited colleagues from the company to witness their happiness. Wei Ming publicly expressed his love for Lin Shuang, but Lin Shuang exposed that their first meeting ten years ago had been carefully arranged by Wei Ming. Wei Ming admitted to it.

Jiang Xi saw photos of Wei Ming and Lin Shuang celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary on social media and became angry. She called Lin Shuang for a discussion, but Lin Shuang had no interest in Wei Ming's theatrics of trying to appear as a good person. Jiang Xi was already upset and thought Lin Shuang was intentionally showing off in front of her, so she scolded Lin Shuang. Wei Ming sent a message to Jiang Xi to apologize and even gave her a bottle of perfume as a gesture of goodwill, but Jiang Xi was still resentful.

A media outlet exposed internal reports within the company reporting on Feng Kai's misconduct. Mr. Ling held an emergency meeting and had the HR department conduct investigations into each department. Wei Ming's projects were temporarily suspended, and even his computer account was frozen. Wei Ming felt uneasy. After her class, Lin Shuang continued to work as a ride-hailing driver. Gu Xu was in a hurry to return to the company for a meeting, so he asked Lin Shuang to cancel her orders and drive him back to the company. His tone left no room for refusal, so Lin Shuang had to agree.

Wei Ming tried to win Wei Jie over by giving her tickets to an art exhibition. He asked her about the company's response to the whistleblower. Wei Jie revealed that the company was conducting a thorough investigation. Jiang Xi had made a reservation at a famous Western restaurant six months ago, and she invited Wei Ming for dinner. The two of them enjoyed their meal and had endless sweet words to share.

Wei Ming returned home very late, and Lin Shuang was curious to know his opinion about the company's mole. Wei Ming repeatedly stated that he wanted to find a scapegoat. Lin Shuang was worried that Wei Ming might shift the blame onto Jiang Xi, so she called Jiang Xi early in the morning to remind her. However, Jiang Xi didn't take it seriously. HR department staff questioned Jiang Xi, and Wei Ming was also present. Jiang Xi was accused of leaking information about Feng Kai to the media, but she vehemently denied it, stating that her level of access couldn't possibly involve such evidence. However, they found records of Jiang Xi using Wei Ming's account to log in.

The HR department leader asked Jiang Xi to resign voluntarily, warning her of serious consequences if she didn't. Wei Ming made cynical remarks on the side, and Jiang Xi finally saw Wei Ming's true colors. Wei Ming advised her to take the money and leave, leaving Jiang Xi utterly disheartened. Wei Ming returned home early from work one day, surprising Lin Shuang. She inquired about the company's situation, and Wei Ming casually mentioned that Jiang Xi had been fired for leaking company secrets. Lin Shuang immediately tried to call Jiang Xi, but her phone went unanswered.

Jiang Hai returned home to find a mess in the house. Jiang Xi was sitting on the balcony, drinking heavily, and had even shredded her own clothes. Jiang Hai tried to console her, but Jiang Xi became impatient and forcefully sent him away.
