When Chen Huan'er returned home, her parents were already helping her pack. The admission notice had arrived, and she was supposed to report to school on the 28th. Chen Huan'er thought about the colleges everyone had applied to and recalled what Jing Qichi had said about not applying to a second-choice school. Her mood inexplicably soured.

Chen Lei mentioned that he saw the delivery person a few days ago delivering the admission letters to Jing Qichi’s family, but Jing Qichi didn’t seem to be in a good mood. After that night, Chen Huan'er hesitated even when sending a simple congratulatory message. She decided to go find Du Man to talk. Du Man could tell that their graduation trip wouldn’t be anything special. It was a good thing she didn’t go—they were all too complicated.

Song Cong arrived at their secret base and found Chen Huan'er there. The tension between them was palpable, and it was awkward. Song Cong decided to have an honest conversation with Chen Huan'er. Chen Huan'er pushed them out of the room, then texted Jing Qichi to ask when he would leave. Jing Qichi replied that he hadn’t decided yet and then asked Chen Huan'er to meet him at the secret base. Chen Huan'er was a little proud. Over the past few days, she had sent Jing Qichi messages, but he hadn’t responded—now he finally remembered her. But Jing Qichi only gave her the money for selling books.

Before they parted, Chen Huan'er took the initiative to hug Jing Qichi, and only after she left did Jing Qichi show his true feelings. Chen Huan'er set off for university registration and arrived at An Da University in Wu’an City. She remembered to text Jing Qichi, asking if he had gone to register. The next moment, Jing Qichi appeared beside her, helping her carry her luggage—he had applied to his second-choice school. Chen Huan'er’s eyes instantly reddened.

She pulled her luggage forward alone, and Tian Chi, a senior from the pharmacy department, came to help with the orientation. He led her to the dormitory. Tian Chi was also from Tianhe No. 1 High School, and he remembered seeing Chen Huan'er in the library. They chatted happily, and the book Chen Huan'er had been looking for at that time was the one Tian Chi had taken. Jing Qichi texted Qian Lina, telling her that Chen Huan'er had arrived safely.

He had already informed Qian Lina and promised to look after Chen Huan'er. Chen Huan'er arrived at the dormitory with Tian Chi, greeted her roommates, and found that Jing Qichi had met a very enthusiastic roommate.
