Back for You Episode 3 Recap
> Back for You Recap
Lu Na was still in a coma, and just like the past few days, A Lai sat by her bedside, reading comic book stories to her. This time, the story was about A Ming, a doctor with a severe fear of blood. Although A Ming was a doctor, his condition was extreme. During his internship, he finally got the chance to enter an operating room, but when he began suturing a patient’s wound, he fainted at the sight of blood.
It was only then that he realized he had this problem. Determined to overcome it, he started training—eating pig’s blood and drinking red beverages—but nothing seemed to help. A Ming’s cousin, A Xiao, was a plastic surgeon who ran a small clinic. Recently, he had been researching breast augmentation surgery. One day, A Ming was eating at his cousin’s clinic when he suddenly got a nosebleed. The sight of his own blood made him faint again.
A Xiao told him his method wasn’t going to work. Meanwhile, Sister Hong, who ran a chicken rice stall, had undergone a breast augmentation surgery at A Xiao’s clinic. However, she felt that one side was hard while the other was soft. She had already visited A Xiao several times, demanding an explanation. When A Xiao heard her voice again, he quickly hid and asked A Ming to deal with her. By accident, A Ming actually helped Sister Hong.
He noticed she was experiencing chest pain and, after an initial diagnosis, suspected she had a tumor. He advised her to get checked at a hospital and even wrote down the name of a doctor she could contact directly. Grateful, Sister Hong thanked him. That night, Situ Xiong and Scar planned to rob a gold shop. They seized the perfect moment to storm in and ransack the place.
Sister Hong’s husband was the security guard at the shop, and he fought back against Situ Xiong and his gang. In the end, he was shot dead by Scar. However, during the struggle, Situ Xiong was also severely wounded. Scar quickly took him to find a doctor. On the way, they ran into Sister Hong, who mentioned a nearby clinic, so Scar rushed over. A Xiao was at the clinic when Scar barged in, carrying a man covered in blood.
He was terrified. Scar demanded that he save their boss, but A Xiao had no experience handling such critical injuries. With no other choice, he asked for permission to contact A Ming. A Ming arrived just in time. However, the moment he saw Situ Xiong, he fainted from the sight of blood again. Situ Xiong pointed to his own pocket, and Scar pulled out a pair of sunglasses.
They understood what he meant—A Ming put them on, and surprisingly, he no longer felt dizzy. But while he could now face the blood, he still lacked surgical experience. His hands trembled as he held the scalpel, too afraid to make an incision. Scar, holding a gun to his head, tried to intimidate him, but it only made A Ming more nervous. Fortunately, A Xiao was by his side, and with their combined efforts, they managed to save Situ Xiong.
Knowing that Situ Xiong wouldn’t last long without proper medical care, A Ming urged them to go to a hospital immediately. However, Scar suddenly turned on them—he wanted to kill both A Ming and A Xiao to eliminate witnesses. Just then, Sister Hong burst in with a kitchen knife and slashed Scar’s neck. It turned out that Scar was the one who had killed her husband, and she had come to avenge him.
A Ming and A Xiao quickly intervened, trying to stop the chaos. But in the midst of the struggle, Situ Xiong managed to sit up and fired a shot at Sister Hong, hitting her in the chest. By then, Scar had already bled to death. Ignoring everything else, Situ Xiong shot A Xiao in the leg and forced A Ming to drive him to the docks. To save his cousin, A Ming had no choice but to comply.
During the drive, Situ Xiong grew impatient with A Ming’s slow pace and shot A Xiao again. Seeing this, A Ming insisted they take A Xiao to the hospital first. They argued, and in the chaos, the car crashed into cargo at the dockside. Desperate, A Ming grabbed the stolen goods and threatened to throw them into the river if Situ Xiong refused to take A Xiao to the hospital.
Situ Xiong raised his gun to kill A Ming, but before he could fire, he collapsed and died—his wounds had been too severe, and without timely medical attention, his death was inevitable. By then, A Ming had completely overcome his fear of blood. Supporting his injured cousin, he walked toward the hospital. Afterward, A Ming was brought to the police station for questioning. He truthfully explained the events, but A Jia didn’t believe him.
A Jia suspected that A Ming and A Xiao had plotted to kill Situ Xiong out of greed. A Ming was unable to defend himself against the accusations. Fortunately, A Lai found the stolen goods at the dock and rushed to the station. He confirmed that A Ming was telling the truth. He also brought Sister Hong, who had survived—A Xiao’s surgical implants had saved her life.
Sister Hong testified that A Ming was a good person and would never kill for gold. After a thorough investigation, the truth was revealed, and A Ming was cleared of all charges. A Lai found it increasingly strange—why had a complete stranger suddenly appeared in his life, and how was this person able to predict the crimes happening around him?
