Back From the Brink Episode 15 Recap
> Back From the Brink Recap
Yan Hui's bedding was thrown out by the little elves. Early in the morning, she searched the entire valley for it. After finding the bedding, she changed into black clothes, just to match Tian Yao's appearance. When Yan Hui saw the ointment, she worried that Tian Yao had forgotten to apply it. So she quietly went upstairs and carefully applied the ointment to Tian Yao. Tian Yao, who had been sleeping restlessly, seemed to feel much better and peacefully entered the realm of dreams. Yan Hui thought about how Tian Yao liked dewdrops and wanted to do more for her beloved. She went to collect dewdrops in the valley. It was quite cold early in the morning, but this was the best time to collect dewdrops. Yan Hui was full of anticipation and made great efforts to gather them. After much difficulty, she managed to collect a bowl, but accidentally tripped and spilled more than half of it. Yan Hui felt heartbroken and hurriedly protected the remaining half bowl and went back.
Tian Yao came downstairs and saw Yan Hui waiting there. When he learned that she had collected dewdrops for him, he was filled with mixed emotions because he hadn't expected Yan Hui to actually do such a thing. Yan Hui looked at Tian Yao with hope in her eyes. Tian Yao couldn't refuse, so he picked up the bowl and started drinking the dewdrops. Suddenly, he was pushed by someone and bumped into Yan Hui, causing the dewdrops in his hand to spill all over himself. Yan Hui angrily scolded the little elves, but Tian Yao felt guilty and quickly mediated the situation. After he left, Yan Hui learned from the little elves that Dragon Valley had encountered a catastrophe because Tian Yao had developed feelings. Therefore, love was prohibited in Dragon Valley, even the slightest hint of it. Yan Hui told the little elves that the difficulty in Dragon Valley was not Tian Yao's fault or the fault of their feelings, but rather the fault of those who used love as a cover to harm others.
Huan Xiaoyan was almost driven crazy by the Illusion King inside the ring. As soon as she came out, she quickly sought help from Yan Hui. After all, she had witnessed the power of the Chi Yan Long Ya before. However, now Tian Yao couldn't draw the sword at all, and Yan Hui was unable to assist. Huan Xiaoyan learned that Tian Yao needed to have a sincere heart in order to draw the Chi Yan Long Ya, so she decided to help and find a solution together.
Bai Xiaosheng was captured by Fu Yin and brought to his lair, where he was suspended by black energy. Fu Yin warned him not to have any ulterior motives and to quickly accomplish the task at hand. Upon learning that Bai Xiaosheng had found candidates who could retrieve the secret treasure from Qingqiu, Fu Yin released him. However, he became suspicious of Bai Xiaosheng and specifically ordered another subordinate to make him repair the damaged entrance. This entrance was crafted using the entire Illusion Clan, showcasing the cruelty of Fu Yin. Bai Xiaosheng was already injured, but he had to muster his strength to repair the gate. One of Fu Yin's loyal subordinates threatened Bai Xiaosheng, warning him not to cause any trouble or else he would be killed. Bai Xiaosheng remained fearless because he had long been fed up with such a life and wanted his adversary to die first. However, at present, both of them had their own tasks, and Fu Yin forbade them from killing each other.
Bai Xiaosheng suddenly returned to Dragon Valley and learned that there had been a misunderstanding between Yan Hui and Tian Yao. He felt overjoyed upon discovering that their previous affectionate behavior was merely a pretense for his sake. He couldn't help but develop a different kind of sentiment towards Yan Hui, who had found him in the Misty Forest. However, Yan Hui quickly clarified that their previous affection was fake, but she had genuinely fallen in love with Tian Yao now. This revelation deeply wounded Bai Xiaosheng's heart. He couldn't say anything because it was he who had forced Tian Yao and Yan Hui to share a bed and cover themselves with a blanket in the past. Huan Xiaoyan believed that Bai Xiaosheng had fallen in love with Yan Hui and voiced her thoughts. But before Bai Xiaosheng could agree, Yan Hui promptly denied it, leaving Bai Xiaosheng with no way to express his love and only remorse for his previous interference.
Tian Yao closed the door to his heart, and Yan Hui wanted to open it. After much contemplation, she believed that it was because Tian Yao carried too much responsibility and pressure, shouldering the burden of the elves' deaths from twenty years ago. That's why he dared not love and she wanted to help Tian Yao reconcile with his past. Yan Hui had come up with a plan. These past few days, she had been busy rehearsing shadow puppetry with Bai Xiaosheng, hoping to create an impression that they were in love. The little elves noticed this and suspected that they were indeed in a relationship. They casually mentioned it in front of Tian Yao. Feeling concerned, Tian Yao pretended to leave but secretly went to find them. However, Huan Xiaoyan stopped him and said, "No falling in love within Dragon Valley." Tian Yao turned around and went to draw his sword, but today his heart was restless, and the Chi Yan Long Ya still couldn't be pulled out. This infuriated him, and he kicked the sword twice in frustration. When descending the mountain, most of the little elves did not come to greet Tian Yao as they usually did. Tian Yao learned that Yan Hui had prepared a shadow puppetry show and even prepared melon seeds. The three little elves stubbornly claimed they didn't want to go, but their eyes betrayed their true intentions as they glanced in that direction. In the end, Tian Yao took them along.
Yan Hui's shadow puppetry revealed to the little elves that it wasn't the kind-hearted person who made mistakes, but the wicked wolf. Tian Yao was touched deep inside, but stubbornly refused to reconcile with his past self. Yan Hui took the initiative to embrace him, finally melting Tian Yao's heart.
