Yan Hui returned to Tongluo Village with Tian Yao and discovered that the village was in chaos. It was because someone from the neighboring village had gone mad and was attacking people indiscriminately. They noticed a swirling black energy in the sky and knew it was related to the chaos. They decided to settle down and investigate. Yan Hui's aunt, as always, tried to take advantage of the situation and planned to rent out the house for some money while Yan Hui and Tian Yao were away. However, they unexpectedly returned, and she quickly turned the "For Rent" sign around. Yan Hui had previously taught her aunt a lesson in the village, and her aunt still remembered the pain from being kicked, so she quickly confessed to Yan Hui that she was afraid the eggs would go bad and had eaten the eggs from the chicken, but she hadn't touched anything else and had kept the place clean.

Tian Yao noticed that there were no chickens left in the coop and decided to catch one to roast for Yan Hui. Yan Hui thought Tian Yao remembered something, but Tian Yao didn't recall anything at all. To her surprise, she discovered Qi Yun Zhenren, the head of Qi Yun Sect, wandering in the woods with a confused mind, searching for the Flowing Fire Pearl. Yan Hui remembered A Cha's words and realized that the person in front of her was A Yun mentioned by A Cha, so she coaxed her and brought her home.

Tian Yao intended to go out and find Yan Hui but was stopped by Ling Xiao, who arrived. Angrily, Tian Yao and Ling Xiao started fighting. During their battle, Ling Xiao taught Tian Yao combat skills and breath control techniques. Yan Hui saw that Ling Xiao's teachings were better than her own and didn't object to Tian Yao learning from him. Ling Xiao examined Qi Yun Zhenren's body and found that she was affected by Frosty Blossom Art. Yan Hui knew that only the head of Chenxing Mountain knew this art and looked at Ling Xiao with a suspicious gaze. Ling Xiao openly admitted that he wasn't the head twenty years ago, and the Frosty Blossom Art on Qi Yun was most likely caused by Qing Guang Zhenren. However, Qing Guang had long been possessed by Fu Yin, and all of this was Fu Yin's conspiracy. After learning the truth, Yan Hui still couldn't forgive Ling Xiao. She instructed him to apply the ointment and then leave.

When Tian Yao saw Yan Hui giving ointment to Ling Xiao, he felt jealous. When Yan Hui returned, he clung to her and acted spoiled, asking her to apply ointment to him as well. However, he wasn't in pain and had nowhere to apply it. Tian Yao insisted that he would take care of the ointment next time and refused to let Yan Hui go. Yan Hui agreed to his request.

Suddenly, there was a commotion in Tongluo Village. A group of people emitting black energy attacked the village, causing the villagers to flee in panic. Ling Xiao, Tian Yao, and Yan Hui quickly came out to assess the situation and save the people. Ling Xiao used his celestial arts to block the individuals with black energy, while Tian Yao used his spiritual fire to extinguish the black energy in the sky. The ordinary people affected by the black energy couldn't withstand the spiritual fire, so Ling Xiao ordered Tian Yao to stop. Ling Xiao released his compass to absorb the black energy, but there was too much of it, and the compass was on the verge of collapsing. During the fight, Yan Hui discovered that the opponents could absorb her black energy, so she tried to absorb their black energy and found that it worked. She unleashed her skills and absorbed a large amount of black energy into her body, saving the villagers. Instead of being grateful, the villagers demanded that Ling Xiao kill Yan Hui. This angered Tian Yao, and Ling Xiao directly stated that Yan Hui was his disciple. If they drove her away, Tongluo Village would no longer receive the protection of Chenxing Mountain. Frightened, the villagers dared not speak further and begged Ling Xiao not to abandon them.

While Yan Hui was being punished at the Falling Star Platform, she thought that Ling Xiao had abandoned her, but today he said he couldn't bear to do so because of their ten years of master-disciple relationship. Yan Hui reproached Ling Xiao for being too greedy, wanting righteousness and wanting to save her life. Ling Xiao asked Yan Hui if she had been happy during her ten years at Chenxing Mountain. Yan Hui recalled the care and love Ling Xiao had given her since childhood, even if it was just a single star, Ling Xiao had always cherished her.
