Yan Hui fell into Fu Yin's sea of consciousness and saw Fu Yin's memories. She learned that Fu Yin was saved by Xue Lin in the past. Xue Lin wanted Fu Yin to be a normal person and not harm others, so he kept Fu Yin by his side. To encourage Fu Yin's kindness, Xue Lin gave him a puppy that he had found. They lived together, but Fu Yin, in order to monopolize Xue Lin's attention, cruelly killed the puppy and lied to Xue Lin, claiming that the puppy had run away because it didn't want to stay there. As time went by, Fu Yin noticed that Xue Lin was studying his own cultivation techniques. Initially, he didn't react strongly, but when Xue Lin and Chen Yi fell in love, Fu Yin felt that his beloved was taken away from him. Unable to suppress his hatred any longer, he attacked Chen Yi. However, Xue Lin protected Chen Yi, which devastated Fu Yin. In the end, Qing Guang sacrificed himself to seal Fu Yin inside his body, but Fu Yin resisted and took over Qing Guang's body when he was weakened. Fu Yin knew that Su Ying was attached to Lu Musheng, a mortal man. Su Ying wanted to find a spiritual medicine to prolong her life. Fu Yin told Su Ying that dragon scales could withstand all kinds of damage, including the passage of time. Although Tian Yao was a thousand-year spirit dragon, he was naive. Fu Yin instructed Su Ying to use her feelings to seduce Tian Yao and assassinate him on their wedding day, while he would assist in secret. However, things didn't go as planned, as Tian Yao's Dragon Fire restored Qing Guang's consciousness. Qing Guang did his best to seal himself onto a star, knowing that Yan Hui had the Heart-Protecting Scale. Fu Yin and Su Ying teamed up but failed to kill Tian Yao. Therefore, Tian Yao remained Fu Yin's greatest nemesis, prompting Fu Yin to devise a series of conspiracies to eliminate him.

Worried about Yan Hui's safety, Tian Yao decided to enter Fu Yin's sea of consciousness and kill him, but Yan Hui was also present in the sea of consciousness. Tian Yao feared harming Yan Hui and remembered that Bai Xiaosheng could materialize his shadow, providing protection against any harm. He went to find Bai Xiaosheng, who was already under Fu Yin's curse and obsessed with restoring the divine shrine. Tian Yao noticed that something was wrong with Bai Xiaosheng and lifted the curse on him. They discussed going to the Star-Picking Celestial and entering Fu Yin's sea of consciousness. Bai Xiaosheng had made great progress in his shadow techniques and could now enter at will. Together, they set off.

During the battle between Yan Hui and Fu Yin, all the black energy was absorbed by Fu Yin, which alarmed and distressed Yan Hui. When Tian Yao lifted Bai Xiaosheng's curse earlier, Fu Yin also suffered a backlash. Seizing this opportunity, Yan Hui snatched half of the Shadow Robe from Fu Yin. Tian Yao and Bai Xiaosheng witnessed this scene upon their arrival and immediately instructed Yan Hui to wear the robe, while Tian Yao launched a full-scale attack on Fu Yin. Knowing that Bai Xiaosheng's shadow technique could go wherever he wanted, Yan Hui conspired with him. While Fu Yin was focused on his battle with Tian Yao, they planned to take the Shadow Robe from Fu Yin. Seizing the chance, Tian Yao used his Dragon Fire to incinerate Fu Yin.

Finally reunited, Tian Yao and Yan Hui, thanks to the Shadow Robe, could touch each other without being harmed. When their love reached its peak, they shared a deep and affectionate kiss. However, Bai Xiaosheng interrupted their moment and, after expressing his gratitude, placed their hands together, wishing them happiness, before merging into their shadows.

Zhu Li, worried about Tian Yao and Yan Hui, was unable to help them due to constraints. She was concerned for both their safety and that she might hinder their progress. Fortunately, Tian Yao and Yan Hui returned safely. In a few days, it would be the anniversary of the Dragon Valley elves, and Yan Hui intended to go back with Tian Yao to pay their respects. However, the dragon energy within Dragon Valley was too strong and could be harmful to Yan Hui's body. Therefore, she decided to make a trip to the Chenxing Mountain. Ling Xiao planned to leave the mountain for a few days, but as soon as he arranged everything, he noticed the dense black energy above the Star-Picking Celestial. Worried that something had happened in Fu Yin's sea of consciousness, he immediately entered his seal.
