> Back From the Brink Recap

Ling Xiao saw that the black energy was gathering above the Star-Picking Celestial, so he went in to investigate and discovered that Fu Yin was not only alive but had countless clones. Fu Yin wanted Ling Xiao to be like Su Ying, corrupted and tainted together with him, so he used the black energy to tempt Ling Xiao's desires. However, to his surprise, Ling Xiao had long abandoned such desires. Though caught off guard by Fu Yin's resurrection, Ling Xiao reached the level of a Grandmaster through this opportunity. He sacrificed himself, even if only for a momentary delay of Fu Yin's revival. The disciples of Chenxing Mountain sensed Ling Xiao's predicament and the anomaly on the Star-Picking Celestial, deducing that he had encountered trouble while upholding the righteous path. They quickly gathered and rushed to the Star-Picking Celestial, using their meager strength to seal Fu Yin. Fu Yin mocked the disciples, believing their efforts to be futile, and covered Chenxing Mountain with his black energy, intending to overthrow the Three Thousand Great Dao.

Yan Hui planned to return to Chenxing Mountain, and Xian Ge and Huan Xiaoyan prepared many special products from Qingqiu for her. Yan Hui was initially very happy and looked forward to seeing her fellow disciples. However, she suddenly sensed Ling Xiao's life lamp extinguishing and immediately set aside the special products, rushing to Chenxing Mountain. As she stepped into the familiar mountain gate, she was greeted by a scene of charred ruins and numerous scattered swords. She knew that these swords belonged to her fellow disciples, and her heart became heavy. Fu Yin was not surprised by Yan Hui's arrival and tried to persuade her to join him in overthrowing the world. Tian Yao sensed the great changes in the world within Dragon Valley, quickly activated the protective barrier to safeguard Dragon Valley, and instructed the little spirits not to leave. He then hurried to Chenxing Mountain to help Yan Hui.

Knowing that Yan Hui felt guilty, Fu Yin seized upon that and described Ling Xiao's death in a gruesome manner. He even claimed that Ling Xiao's only regret was not hearing Yan Hui call him "Master" one more time. Yan Hui, already burdened with guilt, was immediately plagued by doubts and inner demons. Fu Yin intended to take advantage of this opportunity to make Yan Hui his servant. Fortunately, Bai Xiaosheng arrived in time and had been fighting against Fu Yin. However, Yan Hui was oblivious to all this, her eyes gradually turning red. Fu Yin attempted to strike Bai Xiaosheng fatally, thinking it would be an easy victory, but to his surprise, Yan Hui unleashed her dragon power at a critical moment, dispelling his black energy and saving Bai Xiaosheng. Yan Hui's heart brimmed with an immense desire to kill Fu Yin, and she became increasingly frenzied. Tian Yao arrived and used his dragon fire to repel the black energy, awakening Yan Hui's consciousness. However, Yan Hui remained fixated on killing Fu Yin. Tian Yao told her that Ling Xiao and Chenxing Mountain were destroyed because they did not submit to Fu Yin. He urged Yan Hui to remain rational, not to fall into Fu Yin's trap, and become his follower, betraying Ling Xiao and Chenxing Mountain's unwavering spirit. Yan Hui finally understood and couldn't help but throw herself into Tian Yao's arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

Fu Yin's black energy spread rapidly, infecting the entire world. Ying Huo suggested that the surviving members of Qingqiu enter Dragon Valley to escape the calamity. Bai Xiaosheng was seriously injured and couldn't bear to see Tian Yao and Yan Hui harmed by their mutual contact, so he quickly separated them. Tian Yao, in his own way, entered the Misty Forest, relentlessly killing Fu Yin, who kept reassembling. Yan Hui, on the other hand, searched for survivors everywhere, intending to lead them into Dragon Valley. Along her journey, Yan Hui encountered a group of people who hadn't been fully corrupted by the black energy. She tried to absorb their black energy through her cultivation but failed, which greatly discouraged her. Fortunately, she discovered that Zhou Zichen and Zhou Ziyue were still alive. She rescued them from the pursuit of the black energy and found solace knowing that Chenxing Mountain still existed.

Zhou Zichen and Zhou Ziyue used the celestial music of Chenxing Mountain to cleanse the lingering malevolence in the hearts of the survivors in Dragon Valley, doing their best to alleviate some of the pressure on Tian Yao and Yan Hui. Feng Qianshuo and the others organized a gathering, encouraging everyone to voice their discontent and lessen their attachment, thereby reducing the source of power for Fu Yin. When they learned that Bai Xiaosheng's greatest regret was pushing the one person he truly loved into someone else's bed, they considered him the cruelest. However, Bai Xiaosheng had already let go and found happiness in adulthood, no longer harboring any resentment.

While Tian Yao and Yan Hui exerted themselves tirelessly, hope seemed elusive. Bai Xiaosheng, aware of their mutual concern, sent a flower to each of them as a means of communication. Tian Yao, battered and bloodied from countless battles against Fu Yin, was now on the verge of collapse, coughing up blood. Yan Hui, unable to find any survivors, felt despair and for the first time doubted whether Fu Yin was truly invincible. However, when she heard Tian Yao say that they only needed to do their best, hope filled her heart as she prepared to face the upcoming fierce battle.
