Because the child conceived through the union of the Eternal Race and Demon Race was naturally frail and difficult to preserve, Ling Long expended a great amount of her spiritual energy to protect the pregnancy. In the end, she succumbed to Rong Xian's sword. When Rong Xian learned the truth, he was overcome with grief and rage.

He picked up his sword and returned to Kunlun, slaughtering everyone, vowing to make the hypocritical Kunlun sect pay with their lives to atone for Ling Long and their unborn child. At the same time, Bai Shuo and Fan Yue discovered Ling Long's letter and rushed to the Fox Clan, but it was too late. Although Ling Long had passed away, the child in her womb still had a faint spark of life.

Bai Shuo speculated that saving the baby might be the key to breaking the cycle of resentment. With this in mind, Fan Yue used his spiritual power to defy fate, preserving the life of Rong Xian and Ling Long's child. Just as Rong Xian lost all reason and prepared to reduce the Kunlun Sect to ruins, Bai Shuo and Fan Yue suddenly appeared, holding the crying baby. The infant's cries made Rong Xian freeze in place.

When he saw the child wrapped in the swaddling cloth, he was momentarily dazed. Bai Shuo approached him with the baby, and through the child, she finally managed to restore his sanity. After leaving Kunlun with the baby in his arms, Rong Xian's millennium-old obsession and resentment dissolved, and everyone broke free from the realm of resentment. Outside the Tomb of the Anomalous, the seals on everyone were lifted.

Bai Shuo, Fan Yue, Bei Chen, and Mu Jiu reappeared, and the second Heartfire flew into Mu Jiu’s hands, causing dissatisfaction and protests among the Eternal and Demon Races. Although the Demon Race feared Mu Jiu's aunt, Chang Mei, one of the three kings, the Yunxiao Sect of the Eternal Race had no such fear and pursued Mu Jiu, discontent over the Heartfire's ownership. Fortunately, Mu Jiu’s wit allowed her to escape them with ease. Due to Fan Yue’s reckless use of spiritual power in the realm of resentment to defy fate, his demonic energy was severely depleted.

Even so, he instructed Tian Huo and Cang Shan not to inform Bai Shuo. Zhong Zhao sent his junior sister to deliver a message to the Lanling Sect about the events in the anomalous city. However, the message was intercepted by Hua Lin, who deliberately led the Eternal and Demon Races to the Tomb of the Anomalous. Their true intention was to ensure that at the upcoming Burning Orchid Banquet in two days, none of the guests would return alive.

Meanwhile, Fan Yue's injuries worsened at the inn, and he soon fell unconscious. Seeing his condition, Tian Huo and Cang Shan had no choice but to summon Bai Shuo and explain the situation. Bai Shuo hurriedly used a second-grade pill she had crafted to save his life. Looking at Fan Yue lying on the bed, Bai Shuo felt a mix of emotions, realizing that he was not as cold and ruthless as he appeared.

The next morning, Fan Yue regained consciousness but had lost his memory. He left the inn on his own, alarming Bai Shuo, who quickly summoned Tian Huo and Cang Shan to search for him. While wandering the streets, Fan Yue narrowly avoided being struck by a falling piece of wood, thanks to Bai Shuo’s timely intervention. To her shock, she discovered his amnesia and decided to keep it a secret, telling him they were lovers.

The confused Fan Yue believed her and behaved completely differently from his former self, showing a strong dependence on Bai Shuo. Bai Shuo, enjoying the situation, gave him the nickname "Mu Mu. " To prevent others from discovering his amnesia, Bai Shuo taught him his past habits and behavior, which Fan Yue obediently imitated. When Zhong Zhao learned that Bai Shuo had spent the night in Fan Yue’s room, he hurried over to reprimand Fan Yue.

Bai Shuo had to explain the situation to Zhong Zhao. Tian Huo, being perceptive, noticed Fan Yue’s strange behavior and questioned Bai Shuo about her intentions. Bai Shuo admitted to his amnesia and stated that she was looking for a way to cure him. However, Hua Lin, learning of Fan Yue's injuries, decided to use the opportunity to assassinate him. Assassins later infiltrated the inn, attacking Fan Yue. To protect Bai Shuo, Fan Yue was injured again.

Fortunately, Tian Huo appeared in time to fend off the attackers and discovered that the King of Anomalous Beings had ordered the Master of Bright Moon Palace to die in the anomalous city. Following this incident, Bai Shuo, worried about Fan Yue's safety, reminded him to protect himself in the future. She then asked Tian Huo about the situation in the anomalous city, hoping she would reveal the truth.
