Upon hearing Fan Yue’s request, Chang Mei readily agreed to hand over the Weak Water Stone, a response that surprised him with its ease. At that moment, Bai Shuo suddenly arrived and noticed that Chang Mei’s earrings looked familiar. Chang Mei, in turn, sensed the subtle relationship between Bai Shuo and Fan Yue. Meanwhile, Mu Jiu confessed his feelings to Tian Huo but was rejected.

Tian Huo told him that gratitude should not be mistaken for love and asked him not to bring it up again. Fan Yue, aware of the many dangers in the Fox Clan, insisted that Bai Shuo leave, but Bai Shuo wanted him to be honest with her. This led to a heated argument between them. Unbeknownst to them, the Fox Clan’s Sacred Tree of Emotions was on the brink of withering, and Chang Mei had set her sights on Fan Yue.

Through the earrings, Bai Shuo deduced that Chang Mei might be the younger sister of Ling Long, the Fox Clan’s saintess, whose name was A Wu. Zhong Zhao, under Fu Ling’s orders, killed immortals and demons and uncovered Cold Spring Palace’s demonic worm-crafting activities. He sent a message to the Lanling Sect, prompting Jin Yao to instruct all the Eternal Race sects to strengthen their patrols.

Jin Yao also ordered Jing Lei to lead disciples to the Human Race cities under Lanling’s jurisdiction to ensure their safety from Cold Spring Palace. Tian Huo found it odd that Chang Mei so easily agreed to hand over the Weak Water Stone and reported her suspicions to Fan Yue. She noted that since entering Quiet Mountain, things had felt strange.

While it wasn’t unusual for Chang Mei to want Mu Jiu to inherit the position of Mountain Lord, the three-day deadline seemed deliberate, raising concerns about a significant event happening in three days. Fan Yue urged Tian Huo to act cautiously. Tian Huo noticed that Fan Yue’s personality had softened, attributing the change to Bai Shuo. Meanwhile, Cang Shan, searching for the Weak Water Stone in the Fox Clan’s territory, fell into a hallucination and was swallowed by a massive tree.

Bai Shuo shared her new discovery with Fan Yue, noting that in Rong Xian’s Grievance Realm, Fan Yue had played the role of A Qi, Chang Mei’s guard, while Bei Chen played another guard, Xiao Ba. Strangely, both guards had since vanished. Just as Fan Yue was about to share the truth about the Weak Water Stone with Bai Shuo, she suddenly triggered a prophetic vision and fainted.

Soon after, Fan Yue, upon discovering Cang Shan’s disappearance, confronted Chang Mei and demanded answers. He questioned her insistence on delaying the handover of the Weak Water Stone for two more days, leaving Chang Mei momentarily speechless. Fu Ling brought Zhong Zhao to meet Zhen Yu, who ordered Zhong Zhao to bring Bai Shuo back to prove his loyalty. Meanwhile, Mu Jiu prepared various medicines for Tian Huo and took the opportunity to confess his feelings sincerely.

Tian Huo, moved, agreed to a fake marriage with Mu Jiu to help him leave the Fox Clan, with the promise to reconsider their relationship later. Chang Mei went alone to the Sacred Tree of Emotions, relocating the unconscious Cang Shan to another location to lead Fan Yue to a discovery. When Cang Shan awoke, he recounted his attack but couldn’t remember the details.

However, the fact that a member of the Stone Race could be injured caught Fan Yue’s attention. He suspected that the truth behind the attack was linked to a secret Chang Mei refused to reveal. Bai Shuo suddenly woke up and revealed that the Desireless Stone had shown her a vision. The location was beneath a large tree in the Fox Clan’s territory, where the tree devoured Fan Yue.

Hearing this, Fan Yue recalled Chang Wu blocking him from proceeding further into the forest and deduced that the strange tree might be deeper within the woods. He instructed Cang Shan to escort Bai Shuo back to Ning’an City, but she refused. Pressing him for answers, Bai Shuo learned the truth about Fan Yue’s condition, and he vowed he would never let her die. Elder Chang Sheng urged Chang Mei to resolve the Sacred Tree crisis quickly.

Chang Mei promised that even without the Weak Water Stone, the Sacred Tree would not fall under her watch. Zhong Zhao followed members of the Fox Clan in Quiet Mountain, while Fu Ling reminded him of Zhen Yu’s orders. She warned him that if he still harbored his former intentions, his only outcome would be death. Cang Shan prepared to take Bai Shuo away, but Bai Shuo was determined to stay and protect Fan Yue.

She tricked Cang Shan, rendering him immobile, and set out to find Fan Yue. On her way, she encountered Zhong Zhao. Fan Yue and Tian Huo split up to search for the Sacred Tree, and Fan Yue happened to witness Zhong Zhao holding Bai Shuo. Consumed with jealousy, he confronted Zhong Zhao, leading to an argument. After Zhong Zhao left, Fan Yue demanded an explanation from Bai Shuo.

Meanwhile, Fu Ling instructed Zhong Zhao to capture Bai Shuo that night, assuring him she would distract Fan Yue. However, Zhong Zhao, intent on protecting Bai Shuo, suggested delaying the plan under the pretense of concern for Fu Ling’s safety. He argued that their priority should be creating discord between Bai Shuo and Fan Yue.
