That night, Jin Yao took the initiative to seek out Zhong Zhao to understand the reason why Fan Yue attacked Lengquan Palace, and was shocked to learn that Fu Ling was actually Bai Xi. Zhong Zhao pleaded with his master, Jin Yao, to save Fu Ling. Jin Yao responded that even though Fu Ling was Bai Xi, she had become a demon, committed many evil deeds, and taken many lives. It was already merciful of him not to kill her.

Originally, Jin Yao had planned to take Zhong Zhao back to Lanling Sect, but Zhong Zhao explained that his celestial body had fused with demonic power. If he returned, it would only bring trouble to Lanling, so he wished to stay and accompany Fu Ling. Jin Yao reminded Zhong Zhao that Fu Ling was no longer the Bai Xi she once was, and that he should not become too entangled with her, or it might bring disaster upon himself.

At that moment, Zhen Yu was hiding and recuperating from his injuries, astonished that the Desireless Stone, being a divine artifact, had harmed him so greatly. Zhen Yu had to admit that it was his carelessness that had caused the Ancient Mirror to shatter further. He had already come up with a plan and, no matter what, he had to capture Fan Yue and Bai Shuo.

As for Zhong Zhao, he shouldn't even think about escaping, as Zhen Yu could track him down through the Hidden Power. Meanwhile, Fan Yue was accompanying Bai Shuo back to Ning’an City. Looking at the Unbridled Pavilion, he reminisced about the beautiful memories of the past, but unfortunately, things had changed. His heart was filled with mixed emotions. Zhong Zhao waited for Fu Ling to wake up and prepared the buns he had made himself.

Fu Ling remembered the conversation she overheard between Jin Yao and Zhong Zhao the previous night. She intended to distance herself, but Zhong Zhao still treated her warmly. That night, Fan Yue's purple eyes suddenly flashed, and images of the Divine Clan appeared in his mind. The moon in the sky changed into a purple moon. Bai Shuo noticed the strange sight outside the window, opened it, and stared at the purple moon.

Suddenly, she recognized that the person who had saved Bai Xi ten years ago was Fan Yue. To confirm this, Bai Shuo asked Fan Yue to repeat what her benefactor had said, and indeed, it was confirmed that he was the one. Just as Bai Shuo excitedly embraced Fan Yue, confirming the truth, Fan Yue, however, was downcast and stated that he was not Jing Yuan.

At least, ten years ago, he had still been a young man from the Bai Ze clan. Despite this, Bai Shuo insisted that her gratitude and admiration were only for Jing Yuan, and that the person she truly cared for and loved was only him. Fu Ling's heart-corroding poison worsened, and she tried to bite her wrist to relieve the pain. Zhong Zhao, seeing this, quickly extended his own wrist for her to bite, until she felt some relief.

She muttered to herself that she was guilty and couldn’t meet Bai Shuo. Meanwhile, Bai Shuo and Fan Yue were discussing the identity of the people from the Moon Hidden Sea, noting that the immediate task was to gather all five fragments of the Desireless Stone in order to uncover the truth. Suddenly, Fan Yue’s mind flashed with a memory of himself giving a star-moon bracelet to a woman, acting intimately with her, which left him shaken.

Soon, Zhong Zhao, carrying Fu Ling who was suffering from the heart-corroding poison, sought Bai Shuo's help. However, Bai Shuo, seeing that Fu Ling was the one who killed her father and had committed so many evil deeds, responded coldly. Zhong Zhao, in an attempt to quell Bai Shuo’s murderous intent, quickly stated that Fu Ling knew the whereabouts of Bai Xi. This, indeed, stirred Bai Shuo, but Fu Ling lied, claiming that Bai Xi was dead.

Bai Shuo then gave Fu Ling a pill to relieve the heart-corroding poison, allowing her to rest peacefully. Zhong Zhao recalled his childhood, reminiscing that the person who had given him the greatest comfort back then was Bai Shuo. Every day, Bai Shuo would secretly send him notes, but to his surprise, Bai Shuo had told him that the person who sent the notes was Bai Xi. Because of this, Zhong Zhao was both shocked and overjoyed.

He had misidentified the person back then, which was why he had kept Bai Shuo in his heart all this time. His affection for her had originated from the gratitude he felt for those notes. He never expected that the comfort and companionship he had received all came from Bai Xi. At this moment, Zhong Zhao understood his own feelings and took the initiative to confess his love to Fu Ling.

At that moment, Fu Ling’s headache flared again, and childhood memories resurfaced. She remembered the day when she was picking flowers in the wild and suddenly saw Zhong Zhao’s mother, Meng Ning, injured and lying on the ground. Meng Ning handed her a wooden token and told her to pass a message to Zhong Zhao, warning him never to return to Lanling Sect. The next moment, a mysterious man appeared, severely injuring Meng Ning and knocking out Bai Xi.

Fu Ling told Zhong Zhao about this, suspecting that the culprit was likely someone from Lanling Sect. Zhen Yu had still not repaired the Ancient Mirror and was furious at Lao Gui for deceiving him. He decided to use the life of the Xuan Turtle to repair the mirror. Bai Shuo and Fan Yue received a distress signal from Lao Gui and traveled east to Bodhi Village.

The villagers were simple and kind-hearted, and they all revered a woman named Luan Zhu as their goddess. When Luan Zhu saw Fan Yue, a nostalgic expression crossed her face. Through the star-moon bracelet, Fan Yue deduced that Luan Zhu might be related to Jing Yuan.
