At midnight, Luan Zhu secretly used her dream manipulation technique, trying to disrupt Fan Yue's emotions. She pretended to be deeply affected by the scenery, expressing endless sorrow, all to garner Fan Yue’s sympathy. However, Fan Yue calmly responded, admitting that his heart already belonged to someone else. While he felt guilty toward Luan Zhu, that was all there was to it. Just as Luan Zhu was about to persist, Bai Shuo suddenly appeared.

She immediately saw through Luan Zhu’s intentions and firmly declared that she would never doubt Fan Yue. She would only feel pity for the past between Luan Zhu and Jing Yuan. Zhen Yu tracked the hidden power within Zhong Zhao’s body, traveling tirelessly until he finally arrived at Bodhi Village. There, he discovered that Luan Zhu was a divine being, a flower spirit of the God Clan, and that the Lanling Sect’s barrier protected Bodhi Village.

Luan Zhu was able to injure Zhen Yu with ease, and because Zhen Yu had not fully recovered from his injuries, he had no choice but to retreat. The next morning, Bai Shuo heard that Lao Gui had gone up the mountain to collect herbs but had accidentally broken his shell. She personally went to search for medicine in the mountains, only to encounter a man-eating flower attacking her. Fortunately, Bai Xi appeared just in time and saved Bai Shuo.

However, Fu Ling instinctively called out Bai Shuo’s name, and the two women once again argued over Bai Xi’s identity. Bai Xi, knowing her time was limited, did not want to recognize Bai Shuo and responded coldly. But Bai Shuo remained convinced that Fu Ling was Bai Xi. She then mentioned her doubts about Fu Ling to Lao Gui.

Lao Gui advised Bai Shuo to try using a blood test to confirm their relationship and told her that Luan Zhu had a magical artifact, the Spirit-Transforming Cauldron, which could verify familial ties. Taking Lao Gui’s advice, Bai Shuo resolutely went to Luan Zhu to borrow the Spirit-Transforming Cauldron. After Bai Shuo left, Lao Gui slowly emerged from behind a screen. He was no longer the true Lao Gui, but rather a puppet created by Luan Zhu.

Once the real Lao Gui lost his life in the cave, this puppet could take his place in the world. Bai Shuo dropped a drop of her blood into the Spirit-Transforming Cauldron, and to her shock, the cauldron revealed Luan Zhu’s appearance. Just as Bai Shuo was stunned, Luan Zhu entered from outside, mocking her for trusting the wrong person. Then, Luan Zhu dripped her own blood into the cauldron.

In an instant, she and Bai Shuo’s bodies switched, trapping Bai Shuo in Luan Zhu’s consciousness. Meanwhile, Zhong Zhao and Fan Yue both suspected that something was off with Bodhi Village, so they decided to investigate its truth. However, the village was shrouded in mist, making it difficult to leave. Luan Zhu, now inhabiting Bai Shuo’s body, appeared and led Fan Yue and Zhong Zhao away. After returning to their room, "Bai Shuo" acted strangely, raising Fan Yue’s suspicions.

Fan Yue went to seek out "Luan Zhu" but was informed by the physician Qin Jiang that "Luan Zhu" needed rest, and the mist had been set up to protect the village. Zhong Zhao also shared his doubts with Fu Ling. Although he had been reunited with his parents, he did not feel the natural closeness one might expect. During dinner, Zhong Zhao deliberately tested his parents, and his suspicions grew.

He began to suspect that they might be the products of puppet magic. Similarly, Fan Yue, who had not seen Luan Zhu, noticed that "Bai Shuo" was behaving unusually. "Bai Shuo" summoned Jin Yao to Bodhi Village and explained that the body switch had cost her a great deal of spiritual power, and she needed him to bring in more people from the Eternal Race. Jin Yao’s parents had died young, and his family had fallen into poverty.

After enduring many hardships, he had left Bodhi Village and joined the Lanling Sect. However, due to his low status, he was often suppressed and humiliated by his peers. At one point, he had even contemplated suicide but was saved by Luan Zhu, who struck a deal with him. For nearly a century, they secretly collaborated. Luan Zhu taught Jin Yao secret techniques and helped him cultivate his power, eventually placing him at the top of the Lanling Sect.

Her goal was to have him provide spiritual energy from the people of the Eternal Race for her consumption. Jin Yao knew he could not afford to offend Luan Zhu, so he begged her to eliminate Zhong Zhao and Fu Ling. Luan Zhu mocked him, calling him a hypocrite who was ruthless despite appearing righteous, and wondered how other sects would react if they knew the truth.

Luan Zhu ordered Jin Yao to return first while she went back to her room, lying next to Fan Yue. Little did she know, Fan Yue had already begun to doubt her.
