Fan Yue recalled that Bai Shuo once had a vision showing her cutting her finger and dripping blood into a cauldron in Bodhi Village. When he noticed the wound on "Bai Shuo's" finger, he suspected she had already fulfilled the Desireless Stone's prophecy. However, "Bai Shuo" lied, claiming she had accidentally cut herself while preparing medicine, deepening Fan Yue's doubts.

Fan Yue then secretly cast a spell to probe her, but her spiritual power remained unchanged, as she deliberately concealed it. Despite over a century of collusion with Luan Zhu, Jin Yao hesitated about sending Eternal Race members to Bodhi Village. Zhen Yu, eager to restore his strength with demon cores, threatened Jin Yao by exposing Bodhi Village's secrets, forcing him into cooperation.

After much deliberation, Jin Yao agreed to Zhen Yu's terms, deciding to launch a war against the Demon Race. After meeting Zhen Yu, Jin Yao went alone to the Soul Lantern Room, gazing at the countless lanterns of fallen Eternal Race members. These individuals were said to have died in so-called demon-slaying missions, but Jin Yao knew the true cause.

Reflecting on how he had built his current status on the sacrifices of his fellow disciples, he felt no sense of fulfillment. Instead, he now relied on demonic alliances to gain unparalleled achievements. Meanwhile, Fu Ling's soul-devouring poison flared up, and Zhong Zhao carried her to "Bai Shuo," seeking medicine to alleviate her condition. "Bai Shuo" coldly declared that the poison had already invaded her heart and that even relief medicine would be useless—Fu Ling's time was limited.

Seeing "Bai Shuo's" indifference toward her own sister, Fan Yue became convinced this was not the real Bai Shuo. When Fu Ling regained consciousness, Zhong Zhao held her tightly, full of regret for not realizing her suffering sooner. Fu Ling comforted him, saying he need not blame himself. Leaving Cold Spring Palace and abandoning the antidote had been her choice, and she only wished to spend her remaining days with him, leaving no regrets.

Fan Yue confronted "Bai Shuo," questioning why she could remain indifferent knowing Fu Ling's time was running out. "Bai Shuo" claimed there was nothing she could do, especially since Fu Ling refused to admit she was Bai Xi. Even if she wanted to help, it was futile. To prolong Fu Ling's life temporarily, "Bai Shuo" cast a spell to put her body into a deep sleep. Meanwhile, in the Sea of Consciousness, Bai Shuo felt Luan Zhu's disdain and hostility.

That night, Zhong Zhao approached Bai Shuo and revealed his plan to demand an antidote from Zhen Yu, also disclosing that Fu Ling was Bai Xi. To make the real Bai Shuo disappear, "Bai Shuo" intentionally hinted that the mist encircling Bodhi Village was a divine barrier set by the goddess. If the goddess were gone, the barrier would vanish, subtly suggesting that Zhong Zhao kill Luan Zhu. Elsewhere, the Lanling Sect's hunt against the Demon Race yielded significant results.

Yu Feng grew suspicious of how Jin Yao had obtained so much intelligence. Bai Shuo, still trapped in the Sea of Consciousness, failed to break free. Luan Zhu mocked her futile efforts and angrily accused her of past misdeeds, hinting at Bai Shuo's connection to the Divine Race. Bai Shuo began to recall fragmented memories. Zhong Zhao, manipulated by "Bai Shuo," was about to kill "Luan Zhu" but hesitated at the last moment. "Bai Shuo" urged him to act quickly.

Just then, Fan Yue entered, catching "Bai Shuo" off guard. Fan Yue had already suspected that the Bai Shuo before them was not the real one and had likely been possessed by Luan Zhu. Together with Zhong Zhao, they staged a plan to expose her. Zhong Zhao pointed out that "Bai Shuo" had failed, not because of her injured finger but because of her lack of compassion. The real Bai Shuo would never disregard life or manipulate others into murder.

Meanwhile, Zhong Tai and Meng Ning were ordered to kill Fu Ling. However, Fu Ling sensed their intentions and easily overpowered them, interrogating them to uncover the secrets of Luan Zhu and Bodhi Village. Determined to find answers, Fu Ling ventured to the cave where Lao Gui was imprisoned, only to discover a horrific scene of countless skeletons. After Fan Yue and Zhong Zhao exposed "Bai Shuo," she fled wounded.

The two ignored the chase, focusing instead on rescuing Bai Shuo from the Sea of Consciousness. On the other side, Fu Ling found Lao Gui weak and dying. She hurriedly freed him from the cocoon restraining him. However, "Bai Shuo" appeared, intending to drain Lao Gui's spiritual energy to restore her strength. Both Fu Ling and Lao Gui were powerless to resist. In the Sea of Consciousness, Bai Shuo witnessed everything. Overcome with rage, she shattered the barrier and successfully reclaimed her body from Luan Zhu.
