The tolling of the Lanling Sect’s Dark Bell shocked the four High Immortals, as they discovered that Jin Yao’s soul lamp had extinguished. They were stunned, unable to comprehend how their leader could have suddenly died. Meanwhile, Bai Shuo attempted to use the divine power of the Desireless Stone to save Fan Yue, but to no avail. Determined to save Fan Yue and Fu Ling, she instructed Tian Huo to prepare the alchemy furnace immediately to refine a supreme-grade pill.

Zhen Yu sensed the movement of hidden power within Zhong Zhao and came to Bodhi Village, only to find the barrier broken and Jin Yao’s corpse. Observing traces of hidden power on the body, Zhen Yu confirmed that the death of Jin Yao signaled the imminent return of the Divine Sovereign. Elsewhere, Zhong Zhao woke up and learned that he had killed his master.

Struggling to accept the truth, he realized that Jin Yao’s death would throw the Lanling Sect into chaos. He quickly wrote a letter to the sect explaining everything, but Zhen Yu intercepted and destroyed it. Despite Bai Shuo’s efforts to refine the pill, she repeatedly failed, feeling deep guilt and helplessness.

Fu Ling tried to comfort her, but Bai Shuo insisted she had to give everything she had to save Fu Ling and Fan Yue; otherwise, she would regret it for the rest of her life. Meanwhile, the four High Immortals searched for clues about Jin Yao’s disappearance. Remembering that Jin Yao had met privately with Zhong Zhao, they traveled to a mantou shop in Ning’an City.

There, they discovered Fu Ling’s demon ornaments and clothing, suspecting a connection between Zhong Zhao and Fu Ling. Through relentless effort, Bai Shuo successfully refined two supreme-grade pills. She gave one to Fu Ling, completely curing her of the Heart-Devouring Poison. Zhong Zhao wept with joy. The other pill was fed to Fan Yue, but it had no effect on him. Bai Shuo stayed by Fan Yue’s side day and night, talking to him constantly.

Moved by her persistence, Fan Yue finally awakened. The two embraced tightly, vowing never to be separated again. Fu Ling sought out Tian Huo alone to sincerely apologize for the past and offered to atone for her wrongdoings. Tian Huo admitted that she had wanted to kill Fu Ling more than once but ultimately decided to let go of her hatred, considering that Fu Ling was Bai Shuo’s hard-won sister and because Bai Shuo had saved Fan Yue.

The two resolved their differences and reconciled. Tian Huo, having heard that Jin Yao died from Zhong Zhao’s hidden power, suspected that the Hidden Sovereign had once sought to destroy the world, using hidden power to sweep through the realms and drain spiritual energy. To this day, hidden power struck fear into all races. She warned Fu Ling to keep Zhong Zhao’s hidden power a secret from the outside world at all costs.

After Fan Yue woke up, Bai Shuo stayed by his side, reminiscing about their past and sharing heartfelt emotions. Fan Yue reassured Bai Shuo that everyone had their own destiny. Even without meeting her, certain events were fated to happen. As long as they remembered those who had left, they were never truly gone. Bai Shuo agreed, believing that things were moving in a better direction.

Fu Ling sat outside, gazing at the moon, never imagining that she would one day rely on the protection of the Bright Moon Palace, despite being at odds with it in the past. Zhong Zhao accompanied Fu Ling, knowing she was worried about his hidden power. The two leaned on each other, chatting about the future. They planned to return to Ning’an City after everything settled down and looked forward to their married life together.

Though Luan Zhu’s spirit had perished, her true form—the Nine-Spirit Lotus—still existed. As a flower with infinite vitality and healing properties, Zhen Yu brought it to Cold Spring Palace to repair an ancient mirror. Meanwhile, Bai Shuo took it upon herself to organize the Bright Moon Palace’s grand anniversary celebration. She busied herself, ensuring the palace was filled with joy and festivity. Zhong Zhao and Fu Ling, having never attended such a celebration, were eager to witness the lively event.

Bai Shuo prepared osmanthus cakes and an outfit for Fan Yue to wear. Though Fan Yue felt it was too ostentatious, Bai Shuo insisted that everyone should see how handsome her King of the Polar Realm was. However, Zhen Yu used the Nine-Spirit Lotus to repair the ancient mirror, causing dark clouds to obscure the moon. Just as Fan Yue, dressed in festive attire, prepared to attend the celebration, he suddenly coughed up blood and lost all his demon power. Despite this, he forced a smile and reassured Bai Shuo, urging her not to be upset and to enjoy the celebration to its fullest.
