Ying Baichi and Yan Sifang are part of the same music troupe. However, while Yan Sifang can only sit in the courtyard, Ying Baichi is privileged to sit at the main table. Ji Mingzhao informs Yan Sifang that Ying Baichi is an aloof figure because he stays out of the conflicts among the four major families and provides goods for everyone, making him untouchable. At this moment, the third Miss Liang catches Yan Sifang's attention. Ji Mingzhao asks him to observe closely and witnesses Miss Liang initiating a conversation with Ying Baichi. Taking advantage of the fact that Ying Baichi didn't invite her to the music troupe, she convinces him to offer a discount on a batch of goods. Feeling that he, too, is an untouchable figure, Yan Sifang goes to the Liang family's main table and secretly informs the Liang son that he is Tuoba Linghu. He claims to be able to create divine weapons but insists that the Liang son must provide the materials. The Liang son, skeptical, publicly exposes Yan Sifang's identity, ridicules him, and demands an apology.
Ji Mingzhao intervenes, but her status doesn't earn her respect from the Liang family. Instead, they propose that Yan Sifang kowtow to them as a way to resolve the situation. Ji Mingzhao refuses, leading to the Liang son slapping Yan Sifang, followed by Ji Mingzhao slapping the Liang son. In retaliation, the Liang son slaps Yan Sifang again and uses chopsticks to hit Ji Mingzhao's face, escalating the tension. Ying Baichi urges everyone to stop, and, out of respect for him, the Liang family reluctantly agrees to let the matter go. Ying Baichi, known for enjoying a good show, rewards them with one hundred taels as a target-shooting prize. Despite Ji Mingzhao and Ying Baichi both actively participating, Ji Mingzhao manages to win the one hundred taels. Ji Mingzhao decides to leave after winning, but the third Miss Liang, with her wealth, offers an additional two hundred taels as a bonus. Ji Mingzhao decides to stay and play a little longer. Yan Sifang, holding the recently won one hundred taels, feels uneasy.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ye Wuzhi finds Qi Yifan and forces him to reveal if he is connected to the case of Liu Yunxiao. Before Qi Yifan can respond, Ye Wuzhi pins him down and doesn't give him a chance to speak. When Qi Yifan finally finds an opportunity to speak, he reveals that there is an old man in the mansion who knows about Liu Yunxiao's case. Ye Wuzhi, wanting to apologize, offers money, but Qi Yifan, scared after the beating, dares not accept her money and pretends not to recognize her, hurrying away. Meng Sanxi approaches a servant in the mansion to inquire about supernatural events. However, the servant shares more about scandalous events, irritating Meng Sanxi. Finally, he learns about a corner in the mansion that constantly produces ghostly sounds. Meng Sanxi immediately goes with Wei Dongyang to investigate and discovers the mastermind behind the ghostly sounds, an expert who previously pretended to be a ghost at the Liu family's bathhouse. Meng Sanxi convinces the imposter to distract another expert, allowing him to search for Liu Yunxiao.
Liu Yunxiao, thinking Meng Sanxi is there to kill him, is surprised when Meng Sanxi seeks the truth. Liu Yunxiao, who hasn't seen his wife and daughter for five years, agrees to share information once he sees them. After arranging to meet later, Meng Sanxi leaves. This leaves the imposter expert feeling deceived but unable to retaliate due to the lack of a better collaborator. Ji Mingzhao, determined to earn the upcoming five hundred taels, continues reluctantly drinking and playing target shooting but lacks accuracy. Meng Sanxi, observing Ji Mingzhao's struggle, provokes the Liang family, encouraging them to substitute for Ji Mingzhao. The Liang fourth son agrees to Ye Wuzhi's challenge of drinking three bowls for one arrow, while Yan Sifang promises to throw ten arrows consecutively if he loses. Thinking they will witness the three companions embarrassing themselves, they are surprised when Ji Mingzhao wins all the money with her unmatched skills. Liang Er, wanting to turn the situation around, throws a stack of silver notes, asking Meng Sanxi to catch them. If one falls to the ground, Yan Sifang will have to kowtow ten times. Despite lacking internal strength, Meng Sanxi's martial arts and agility are top-notch. He skillfully catches all the silver notes. Yan Sifang then spikes Liang Er's drink, causing him to kneel in pain. This unexpected turn of events shocks everyone, making Meng Sanxi and Yan Sifang triumphant.
