Due to Yan Yue's severe injuries and his spiritual consciousness about to dissipate, Mu Nan decided to transfer all his cultivation into Yan Yue's body in order to save his life. Only by keeping Yan Yue alive could he ensure his sister's safety. Before his soul scattered, Mu Nan handed a demon realm recipe book that he had personally collected and organized to Yi Er, so she wouldn't mistakenly consume anything poisonous in the future.

In addition, Mu Nan instructed Yi Er not to follow in his footsteps and learn to let go of the past. Just as he was about to reach out and touch her, he completely lost his breath. Yi Er took the initiative to hold Mu Nan in her arms, recalling the moments of happiness they had shared since they met, unable to suppress her sorrow.

In the end, the battle ended with all three parties being completely destroyed. Yan Yue protected Wei Zhi with all his might, causing both of them to lose their divine forms. The Heavenly Emperor also exhausted his essence, while Wei Zhi remained unconscious. When Ou Ya and Lan Su found her, they discovered a phoenix egg by her side. Although they couldn't sense the presence of a phoenix, they were relieved that Wei Zhi could finally be herself again. However, the time of her awakening and the fate of the little life inside the egg remained unknown.

Years passed in the blink of an eye. The Heavenly Emperor was sealed in the icy cellar of the heavenly palace, and Yan Luo took on the responsibility of temporarily replacing the Heavenly Emperor. The immortals paid their respects to him. The Heavenly Empress realized that Yan Luo was not suitable to be the Heavenly Emperor because he wanted to live a free life. As for Yan Yue's whereabouts, since he had shouldered too much as the Red Sun God, they both decided not to search for each other. As long as they were free from divine authority, they would no longer feel the pressure.

Qing Huan reported to Yan Luo about the situation at the boundaries. He, along with the four esteemed figures of the demon realm, sealed the boundaries with the Weak Water, ensuring that the demon clan would never set foot outside for eternity. Thirty years later, in the spring rain, Wei Zhi woke up among the flowers. Ou Ya and Lan Su were excited about this and took Wei Zhi to see the phoenix egg. To their surprise, after all these years, the phoenix egg still hadn't hatched. They informed Wei Zhi about the changes in the mortal realm, including Yan Yue falling into the demonic path and becoming a demonic lord, losing all his memories. Wei Zhi suddenly remembered what Yan Yue had said and guessed that he must have had his reasons.

That night, Wei Zhi murmured to herself while hiding outside, worried that her child would suffer the same fate as her, being disappointed by others lifetime after lifetime. However, she also thought about how she had encountered true love in every lifetime, which provided some comfort amidst her worries. Then, she noticed the mark of the broken connection on the shell of the phoenix egg, shocking herself with the realization that it would be resolved in this way. It also indicated that the child would be moved by love, experience pain because of it. The phoenix egg seemed to understand, giving a faint response that brought tears of joy to her eyes.

The next morning, Ou Ya and Lan Su came to find Wei Zhi and found a letter left in the flower bushes, indicating that she had gone to find Yan Yue alone. On her way, Wei Zhi passed through Gucheng and saw that her younger brother, Wei Ye, had taken over as the city lord. Under his governance, Gucheng had regained its former prosperity and was loved by the people.

As for Ming Lang, he possessed both talent and virtue and became the new national teacher, while Bao Liang became the dean of the White Egret Academy, inheriting the legacy of the former dean. Wei Zhi felt relieved seeing that they were safe and sound in their respective roles. She then went to pay respects at her mother's grave and revealed her plan to go to the demon realm to find Yan Yue. Just as Wei Zhi left, Wei Ye noticed three incense sticks in front of the grave, suspecting that his sister was still alive. Even if they couldn't see each other, he was still delighted.

The Weak Water boundary was sealed with Yan Luo's runic arts, and Wei Zhi, in her mortal form, was unable to break it.
