Qing Huan did not continue to be a third wheel between Wei Zhi and Yan Yue but instead went to the cliff to accompany Yi Er and drink. Although it was clear that Yi Er was drowning her sorrows in alcohol, missing her beloved, she stubbornly insisted that she was not unhappy. Qing Huan silently listened to Yi Er's heartfelt words and sensed her changes, feeling both happy and worried.

The next day, Yan Yue and Wei Zhi held a grand wedding ceremony, becoming husband and wife in front of everyone. They announced their plans to seek a peaceful secluded life after marriage, refraining from getting involved in the affairs of the Three Realms due to Wei Zhi's phoenix identity. They warmly welcomed everyone to visit them at any time. Seeing this sweet and loving couple before her, Yi Er felt genuinely happy for them but also experienced sadness due to missing Mu Nan.

At that moment, the Heavenly Empress suddenly came to the Demon Realm to find Yan Yue. She revealed that the Heavenly Emperor had just awakened and his life was hanging by a thread. The Heavenly Empress pleaded with Yan Yue to return to the Heavenly Realm to see his father for the last time. Although Yan Yue was anxious upon hearing about his father's critical condition, he hesitated because of Wei Zhi. Wei Zhi urged him to fulfill his filial duty and promised to wait for his return in the Demon Realm.

Unexpectedly, when Yan Yue arrived by the Heavenly Emperor's side, he was informed that he would succeed as the Heavenly Emperor, responsible for safeguarding the peace of the Three Realms and hunting down the phoenix. Yan Yue resolutely refused and declared that the phoenix was his wife, whom he would protect wholeheartedly, forbidding anyone from harming her. Enraged by Yan Yue's firmness, the Heavenly Emperor attacked him and seized his physical body, taking his place.

Everyone waited as "Yan Yue" emerged from the icy dungeon, shocked to hear the news of the Heavenly Emperor's demise. The Heavenly Empress was particularly heartbroken. "Yan Yue" proclaimed that he would ascend to the throne of the Heavenly Emperor and refuted Yan Luo and the Heavenly Empress's doubts one by one. Everyone was astonished and felt that he had completely changed.

Yan Yue returned to the Demon Realm and informed Wei Zhi about the situation. He appeared cold and distant, expressing his intention to bring her back to the Heavenly Realm and acknowledge her as the new Heavenly Empress. Wei Zhi couldn't understand why Yan Yue had gone back on his word and felt uneasy about this sudden turn of events. Little did she know that Yan Yue's spiritual consciousness was struggling to regain control of his physical body, but he was no match for the Heavenly Emperor.

That night, Yan Yue used his father's death as an excuse to leave Wei Zhi and went to his study, secretly vowing to kill the phoenix and completely replace Yan Yue to obtain greater power. Ou Ya and Lan Su prepared to return to the Demon Realm, and Wei Zhi personally saw them off, giving them phoenix feathers to help solve the issue of the demon clan's reproduction. Before leaving for the Heavenly Realm, she entrusted them with the care of the phoenix egg.

Wu Mu became the ruler of the Demon Realm, bringing some relief to Wei Zhi. She bid farewell to everyone and accompanied Yan Yue to the Heavenly Realm. As she looked at the clouds beneath her feet, memories of Yan Yue carrying her while flying flooded her mind, and she couldn't help but bring up the past. However, Yan Yue remained cold and distant, reminding them of their status as the Heavenly Emperor and Heavenly Empress, emphasizing that things had changed.

The Heavenly Empress and Yan Luo received Phoenix Wei Zhi and recognized her kind-hearted nature, believing she would become a qualified Heavenly Empress. However, Wei Zhi didn't care about the position of the Heavenly Empress and only wanted a peaceful life. She hadn't made a decision about staying in the Heavenly Realm. Yan Yue's expression changed upon hearing this, reminding her that she should consider the peace between the Heavens and Demons. Only by leading the Demon Realm to submit to the Heavenly Realm as the phoenix and respecting the will of the Heavenly Realm could true peace be achieved.

Wei Zhi believed that the Demon Realm had always cherished freedom and that submitting to the Heavenly Realm was entirely impossible, especially considering that Yan Yue possessed demonic powers and should know all about it. To her surprise, Yan Yue stated that after ascending as the Heavenly Emperor, he would have the elders remove the demonic powers from the Demon Realm. He emphasized that being the Heavenly Emperor was his responsibility and his father's wish. Wei Zhi found it hard to believe and felt that the person before her had become a stranger.

Sitting next to them, Yan Luo remained silent throughout, observing Yan Yue's changes with a sense of strangeness. Afterward, Yan Yue warned Wei Zhi to abandon the idea of returning to the Demon Realm and to always remember to act with respect and order in front of the Heavenly Empress and Yan Luo. Wei Zhi was filled with pent-up anger and decided to go out alone to calm her emotions. Meanwhile, the Heavenly Emperor disposed of his own body, determined to live on as Yan Yue.
