Ou Ya brought back the Phoenix's tail feathers, which made the Demon King very happy. However, when the Demon King learned that Yan Yue had ascended as the Heavenly Emperor and taken Wei Zhi back to the Heavenly Court, he felt uneasy and instructed Ou Ya to keep a close eye on the Heavenly Realm's movements and be alert to any signs of trouble. Although everything seemed calm at the moment, the Demon King believed that unusual occurrences often hid something sinister. After all, he had been fighting against the Heavenly Realm for thousands of years and knew that being prepared in advance was always necessary.

Yi Er specifically prepared a delicious meal for Yan Yue and Wei Zhi to welcome them, but only Yan Yue showed up alone. During their time together, Yan Yue's behavior and words were strange, arousing suspicion in Yi Er. Qing Huan and Yan Luo, upon hearing Yi Er's description, also became puzzled by his sudden change in temperament.

At the same time, the Heavenly Emperor had obtained the power of the Heavenly Empress and used Yan Yue's body to freely manipulate time magic, allowing him to revisit a hidden truth from the past. The Heavenly Emperor then announced to the Three Realms, falsely claiming that the Phoenix had broken the barrier, causing devastation to all living beings. He spread the rumor that Xi Cai had slain the Phoenix and used up her cultivation to restore the barrier. Yan Yue, having finally learned the truth, found the Heavenly Emperor completely indifferent and even extracted the fragmented spiritual essence of Yan Yue's mother to strengthen his imprisonment.

Yan Luo accompanied Yi Er to visit Wei Zhi and brought her some talismans to ease her boredom. He also mentioned Yan Yue's drastic change in character. In the nick of time, Mu Lao saved Wei Zhi and brought her back to the Zihua Book Pavilion. He didn't want the Phoenix, who was willing to sacrifice herself to save Jing Xiu, to die in vain. However, he chose not to make a deal with the Phoenix and personally destroyed the rules, causing the Zihua Book Pavilion to collapse. Before his death, Mu Lao revealed to Wei Zhi that there was indeed a hidden and dark forbidden art in the Three Realms, mainly concealed within the Heavenly Court, and only Hua Rong could confront the Heavenly Court.

On the other side, Ou Ya and Lan Su were embracing each other in the midst of the flowers, longing for their child to be born soon and envisioning a future full of descendants. Unexpectedly, the Heavenly Emperor arrived in the Demon Realm with the intention of destroying the Phoenix's embryo. Ou Ya and Lan Su sensed his presence and fought desperately against him. In the end, Lan Su was severely injured by Yan Yue and lost his life. When Wei Zhi arrived, it was already too late. She looked at her deceased friend with extreme grief and sorrow.

Upon returning to the Heavenly Court, the Heavenly Emperor blamed all the killings on Wei Zhi, claiming that she had killed Yan Luo and attacked him. The Heavenly Empress, upon hearing this, was shocked and anguished, harboring resentment towards Wei Zhi for repaying kindness with enmity and supporting Yan Yue as her brother's avenger. Although Yi Er was also deeply saddened, she half-believed what "Yan Yue" had said, considering that there must be a reason behind Wei Zhi killing Yan Luo. Therefore, the Heavenly Empress tried her best to remain calm and decided to summon Wei Zhi to the Heavenly Court to reveal the truth and establish the facts before making a judgment.
