After leaving the aquarium, Wu Kaitong took Wei Shijie to a vintage clothing store, which piqued Wei Shijie’s interest. The two tried on various outfits and costumes in the store, enjoying themselves immensely. In the end, they each purchased a set of clothing that suited them and took a photo together to commemorate the outing.

A-Zhen, hoping to mend the relationship between father and son, invited her eldest son, Xu Junhao, to the house to have a proper conversation with Xu Zhiqiang. Xu Junhao admitted that he had not informed them in advance, which made the announcement of his engagement seem rushed and impulsive. He also understood Xu Zhiqiang's perspective—that his father wanted him to prepare the wedding more thoughtfully.

However, Xu Junhao and his fiancée valued their emotions and long-term commitment over the ceremonial aspects. Despite this explanation, Xu Zhiqiang remained upset and couldn’t understand his son’s perspective. Xu Junhao expressed frustration that his father had devoted all his energy to running Zhenqiang Ji without paying much attention to him. He pointed out that even at his age, his father hadn’t considered retiring or living a more comfortable life.

When Xu Junhao mentioned the idea of selling Zhenqiang Ji, Xu Zhiqiang abruptly ended the conversation. Later, Xu Junle received a call from A-Zhen and learned that the disagreement between Xu Junhao and Xu Zhiqiang had escalated from the wedding to the issue of running Zhenqiang Ji, ending in another argument. After resolving work matters, Mai Youge brought Xu Junle to the lakeside for a heartfelt conversation.

Xu Junle admitted that he was the most suitable candidate to take over Zhenqiang Ji, but he doubted his ability to manage it well and feared ruining his father’s legacy. Mai Youge patiently reassured him, helping him realize his strengths and giving him a sense of calm and confidence. Before long, General Manager Tong received Mai Youge’s feedback on the situation and immediately flew to Macau to meet with Xu Junhao of Starshine.

On behalf of the company, Tong apologized for the incident and quickly presented a solution: Mai Youge would continue to oversee the hotel promotional video, while client manager Wu Anmei would be reassigned to Beijing. Xu Junle later approached Xu Junhao, urging him to have another conversation with their father and advising him not to be too rigid, given their father’s age and unchangeable personality.

Following Xu Junle’s suggestion, Xu Junhao returned to Zhenqiang Ji, a place he hadn’t set foot in for years, to talk with Xu Zhiqiang again. During the discussion, Xu Junhao finally aired his long-held grievances. Initially, Xu Zhiqiang stubbornly defended himself, but as he listened, he began to acknowledge his son’s perspective. He realized that he had indeed pushed the family forward relentlessly for the sake of Zhenqiang Ji, perhaps for too long, and it might be time to stop.

Although Xu Zhiqiang agreed with Xu Junhao in his heart, he remained verbally defensive and didn’t immediately admit it. Xu Junhao, on the other hand, didn’t expect to resolve everything in a single conversation, but he did feel much more at ease, just as Xu Junle had said, after expressing his true feelings. On a flight from Beijing to Macau, Professor Xu Jianming and his new wife, Li Meng, happened to encounter his ex-wife, Tang Wei.

Both Xu Jianming and Tang Wei were traveling to Macau to visit their daughter, Xu Jiajia. However, the atmosphere was awkward since Li Meng was Xu Jianming’s former student. During the flight, Xu Jianming tried to strike up a conversation with Tang Wei by talking about their daughter, but Tang Wei responded evasively. Noticing that Li Meng was sitting next to Xu Jianming, Tang Wei switched seats with her.

Thanks to Xu Junle’s support, the filming progress under Mai Youge’s leadership improved significantly, and her mood brightened as a result. Later, Xu Junle visited Zhenqiang Ji and proactively asked to work in the kitchen, requesting Xu Zhiqiang to guide him in cooking. Xu Junle’s earnestness moved Xu Zhiqiang, who felt a mix of pride and guilt as he saw how much his two children had grown and changed.
