Chen Jiahui’s friend, Isabella, noticed her low spirits and approached to check on her, learning about her emotional struggles. Chen Jiahui confided in Isabella that she had never felt so heartbroken in a relationship. She admitted that the most realistic problem they faced was that neither of them could give up everything for the other. Feeling that they should not continue the relationship, she had made the difficult decision to end it.

Meanwhile, Wu Kaitong accompanied Wei Shijie to a meal with her parents. During dinner, her mother pried into Wei Shijie’s background. Wu Kaitong’s reluctance to elaborate irritated her mother, who accused her of becoming ungrateful and heartless after achieving success. As the mother and daughter argued, her father silently ate, showing no interest, as if he were a stranger.

Wu Kaitong revealed that years ago, she had battled cancer and had to undergo a hysterectomy, making her unable to have children. Even with this revelation, her father remained indifferent and dismissive, which gave Wu Kaitong the courage to speak her mind and lay bare the family’s issues. She expressed that there was no love in their home, only self-interest. Her mother, burdened by her father’s irresponsibility, had taken out her resentment on the children, causing Wu Kaitong immense pain.

Wu Kaitong had hoped her father would at least show some emotion after hearing this, but he remained cold and unresponsive. After leaving home, Wu Kaitong sat outside, crying in sorrow. She mocked herself for still feeling hurt by their words, despite having no expectations of them. She felt like the powerless little girl she used to be.

To lift her spirits, Wei Shijie took her out for some fun and encouraged her to vent her emotions, which eventually helped her feel much better. Tang Wei arranged a meeting with her client, Zhao Linsen, at a coffee shop and unexpectedly ran into Xu Jianming, who was there to meet a student. However, Tang Wei’s discussion with Zhao Linsen did not go smoothly, as he seemed uninterested.

Just when she thought the deal was doomed, she discovered that Zhao Linsen was one of Xu Jianming’s students. The two men hit it off in conversation, which led to Zhao Linsen agreeing to collaborate with Tang Wei. This incident improved the relationship between Tang Wei and Xu Jianming. They walked back together, reminiscing about the past. Tang Wei mentioned that she sometimes wondered if her life would have been different had they not divorced.

As they spoke, Tang Wei’s capable assistant, Chen Shiyu, suddenly appeared, thoughtfully carrying her bag and coat. When Xu Jianming learned that Chen Shiyu had worked for Tang Wei for five years without dating anyone, he suspected that Chen Shiyu had feelings for her. After a full day of filming, Mai Youge realized that Xu Junle had been quietly waiting nearby the entire time, which stirred complex emotions within her.

Meanwhile, at the hotel entrance, Xu Jianming encountered Li Meng as she returned, looking dejected. He hurried after her but still failed to grasp her true thoughts and feelings. Ms. Lin was preparing to visit Macau to watch Wei Shijie’s performance. However, Wei Shijie disliked the piece his mother had chosen for him. Wu Kaitong comforted him, suggesting that he try to play the piece with emotion, as even formulaic music could carry feelings.

Since Mai Youge had rejected Xu Junle, their interactions had become awkward, and Xu Junle spent most of his time communicating with the team’s staff. On the first day of the Macau GT Cup finals, Han Junhao performed brilliantly at the start of the race, with Tomoto Dozhen close behind, once again making them rivals for the championship. Unfortunately, midway through the race, Han Junhao was involved in a collision, severely damaging his car.

Although his team worked hard to repair it, the extent of the damage cast doubt on his chances of continuing in the competition. When Chen Jiahui learned about the accident, she rushed to the racetrack but was stopped outside by staff. After confirming that Han Junhao was not in life-threatening danger, she finally breathed a sigh of relief. She thought about sending him a message but, after hesitating for a long time, decided to delete it.
