As evening approached, Chen Jiahui and Han Junhao were caught in a sudden downpour as they descended from the mountain. They ran to a nearby shelter to wait out the rain. Chen Jiahui, on a whim, pulled Han Junhao to walk in the rain with her. They eventually arrived at an art studio, where Chen Jiahui gazed at the rainy scenery and made a romantic confession. The chemistry between them grew, leading to an uncontrollable kiss.

Early the next morning, Han Junhao drove Chen Jiahui home on his motorcycle. Wu Kaitong noticed Wei Shijie sitting alone by the pool, staring blankly as other children his age played together. He showed no interest in joining them. Curious, Wu Kaitong asked if he wanted to make friends. Wei Shijie, having learned that Wu Kaitong had taken the blame for the allergy incident, began to trust her and saw her as a friend. Wu Kaitong, however, felt conflicted.

After all, she was simply doing her job and did not want to exploit his trust. In Wu Kaitong’s eyes, she and Wei Shijie were alike—both found it hard to trust others, and once they opened their hearts and were hurt, maintaining the relationship became almost impossible. Wu Kaitong later confided her worries to Chen Jiahui and subtly explained to Wei Shijie that she couldn’t accompany him to see the ocean or be his friend.

She admitted that everything she had done was for her job and to gain favor with Ms. Lin, hoping to secure a transfer to the United States. Xu Junle and Mai Youge took a bus ride around the old city of Macau, enjoying the view through the window. Xu Junle cautiously asked Mai Youge if she missed Macau, hinting at whether she missed him. Mai Youge, in turn, was curious about Xu Junle’s views on love and his ideal partner.

Xu Junle openly shared that he hoped to love someone who could also be his best friend, someone with their own interests but willing to explore new experiences together. He believed that such a relationship would only deepen with time rather than fade away. Afterward, Xu Junle took Mai Youge to a nearby market. The warmth and hospitality of the locals surprised Mai Youge, making her nostalgic for her hometown and the precious moments she had shared with her grandmother.

Noticing her slight sadness, Xu Junle sat with her on a bench and comforted her with kind words. That evening, Mai Youge contacted the filming crew to prepare for the first day of shooting. Given the complex filming regulations in Macau, strict compliance was necessary. Xu Junle immediately reached out to a friend and secured a camera lens to help Mai Youge resolve an urgent issue. Their seamless collaboration during work felt like that of longtime partners.

Han Junhao, suffering from neck discomfort, was brought by Chen Jiahui to Huang Zhong’s therapy center. With his exceptional skills, Huang Zhong quickly resolved the issue. During the session, Han Junhao continuously tested the waters regarding his relationship with Chen Jiahui, making sweet and ambiguous remarks that brought a growing smile to her face. The eldest son, Xu Junhao, accompanied his mother for some exercise and inquired about his father’s health.

He suggested that, given his father’s age, it might be time to consider selling Zhenqiangji. Aunt Zhen, hearing that Xu Junhao had a girlfriend, was overjoyed and gossiped about how Xu Junle seemed to have a girl he was acquainted with as well. Due to Wu Kaitong’s leave of absence, Mandy temporarily took over Wei Shijie’s itinerary. Wei Shijie seemed unhappy and frequently inquired about Wu Kaitong’s condition.

Meanwhile, Wu Kaitong suffered from a bout of gastritis but didn’t inform anyone, enduring it alone in the hospital. She was stunned to see Wei Shijie appear at her hospital room door, feeling both touched and uncertain. Seeing Wu Kaitong’s lonely state, Wei Shijie stayed by her side, and as he heard her talking in her sleep, his emotions grew increasingly complicated.
