Yue Qianling asked Gu Xun if he had a girlfriend. She said she had always liked him and asked if she had a chance. Gu Xun told her he didn’t like her—not now, and not in the future. She simply wasn’t his type. While Gu Xun was saying this, his microphone was still on, and the whole school heard his words. Just then, it started to rain heavily. Gu Xun asked Jiang Junnan to bring Yue Qianling an umbrella.

Jiang Junnan brought it over and said it was from Gu Xun. Yue Qianling turned to look at Gu Xun, then told Jiang Junnan she didn’t need it. Soaked to the bone, Yue Qianling returned to the dorm and recalled everything that had happened with Gu Xun. She looked at a portrait of him and broke down crying. Yue Qianling logged into the game, and before the match even began, Little Twist started firing wildly.

Her teammates asked why she was shooting everywhere and what she was aiming at. Jiang Junnan, in the game, threw her a grenade. Little Twist—Yue Qianling—started crying. Jiang Junnan and the player named Campus Heartthrob—Gu Xun—both hurried to ask what was wrong. Little Twist told them she had just had her heart broken. Gu Xun froze for a moment and asked if she had really confessed. He was thrilled to hear that Little Twist’s confession had failed.

He even said he was buying dinner that night, clearly gloating over the situation. Camel said, “Who’s the jerk that upset Little Twist? ” Little Twist told them to go to Dongning University, Binjiang campus, and find a guy named Gu Xun—“go chop him up. ” When they heard Gu Xun’s name, they all froze for a second, then realized the one Little Twist had confessed to was right in front of them.

Gu Xun lost his composure and asked if she hadn’t been duo-queuing with Gun King that morning. Little Twist said she had gone to her graduation ceremony and lent her account to her younger cousin. Gu Xun deeply regretted everything—he wished he could start over. He wondered if he should confess to Yue Qianling, but Jiang Junnan told him if he didn’t want to die, he’d better wait.

Jiang Junnan advised Gu Xun to first get close to Yue Qianling and wait until her anger passed before saying anything. Yue Qianling asked Yin Xue if she was just moved by her own imagination—that Gu Xun didn’t see any of her good qualities at all. Yue Qianling said she worked hard every day, getting up early to do makeup for work, and even straining her voice to speak sweetly—it was disgusting.

Yin Xue told her that forced feelings never end well. She told Yue Qianling that some people were just born holding wine bottles—not hearts. Yin Xue told her to stop thinking about that scumbag. Yue Qianling thought maybe it was just karma for all her little lies. She decided to go find a place to rent and told Yin Xue and the others to come visit her when they had time.

Huang Jie noticed Yue Qianling wasn’t wearing makeup and asked what was going on. Yue Qianling said she’d been too busy at work to find the time. She told Huang Jie she had already made up her mind to get a promotion and a raise. Huang Jie said she didn’t want to work that hard—she’d rather spend her time falling in love.

She told Yue Qianling she had chatted with a handsome guy online the night before and asked her to take a look. But Yue Qianling didn’t seem interested. Yue Qianling brought some documents to get signed by her supervisor. Gu Xun saw her and followed behind. He called out to Yue Qianling, wanting to have a serious talk. But Yue Qianling told him there was nothing to talk about. If it was about work, he should message her on DingTalk.

With that, she left. During a meeting, Gu Xun was mocked by Jiang Yishi, but he fired back with just a few words. Back in his department, Jiang Yishi pressured his team to speed up their work. Yue Qianling’s team leader asked if anyone wanted to stick with the original project. Most of them, including Huang Jie, wanted to join the currently hot project on the love economy. But Yue Qianling insisted on staying with the original one.

Huang Jie asked Gu Xun if he had a girlfriend. Gu Xun looked at Yue Qianling and said he was too busy with work. Huang Jie then asked if a lot of people had confessed to him. Gu Xun looked at Yue Qianling again. Yue Qianling asked him what that look meant—was it that ordinary people like them weren’t worthy of confessing to someone like him?
