Gu Xun mustered up the courage to tell Yue Qianling that he was actually the campus heartthrob. Yue Qianling said she already knew—he was Gu Xun, the campus heartthrob of Dongning University—and told him not to flaunt his superiority in front of her anymore. Gu Xun tried to explain that wasn’t what he meant, but Yue Qianling said that from now on, they were just colleagues at work, and beyond that, there was no other relationship.

Chen Xinyi came to the finance office for a stamp, but not only did they refuse, they also humiliated her. Meanwhile, Gu Xun’s subordinate, the lead planner, had leaked their design drafts. Gu Xun knew that Jiang Yishi’s subordinate, Mike, had also been there at the time. The lead planner, Wang Hai, didn’t think it was a big deal—he had just gotten drunk. Gu Xun told him to go to HR and resign.

Wang Hai asked what he meant by that. Gu Xun said he and Jiang Junnan had personally hired him, and he had deeply disappointed them. As Wang Hai was leaving, he told Gu Xun not to regret it. Jiang Junnan asked Gu Xun why he had done that, especially when they were short on people. Jiang Junnan helped Gu Xun move some things, and they happened to run into Yue Qianling, who was also moving.

That’s when Yue Qianling found out that Gu Xun was her new neighbor. She called the landlord to ask if she could terminate the lease, but the landlord said she could move out, though the deposit wouldn’t be refunded. Yue Qianling said she would think it over. Just then, she realized the air conditioner remote was broken. The landlord told her to borrow a remote from the neighbor across the hall. In the elevator, she ran into Jiang Junnan.

Jiang Junnan complained to Gu Xun that Yue Qianling didn’t even greet him anymore. He asked Gu Xun to make some lamb tripe to cheer him up. Gu Xun sent a voice message saying Jiang Junnan should stop bringing up Yue Qianling—he was already annoyed enough. Also, who eats lamb tripe in this heat? What kind of taste is that? Jiang Junnan accidentally played the message out loud, and Yue Qianling happened to hear it.

She said to Jiang Junnan that she clearly had no taste. Gu Xun was about to go downstairs to feed the stray dogs when he saw Yue Qianling feeding a puppy some lamb tripe. He was about to tell Yue Qianling that he was the player named Campus Heartthrob, but at the sight of the lamb tripe, he suddenly threw up. Yue Qianling told him that if he found her disgusting, he didn’t have to come near her.

From now on, she would use the west gate and he could use the east gate. After returning home, Gu Xun logged into the game and asked Yue Qianling what she was doing. Yue Qianling said she had just told him that morning they would have no further contact, and now they had ended up as unfortunate neighbors. She said her air conditioner remote was broken, and Gu Xun told her to borrow one.

Yue Qianling asked where she was supposed to find one in the middle of the night. Gu Xun said she should borrow one from a neighbor. Yue Qianling said she would rather die of heat than bow down to evil forces. Just as she was sticking her head into the fridge to cool down, there was a knock at the door.

Gu Xun said he heard from the landlady that Yue Qianling’s air conditioner was broken and came to help fix it. He once again tried to tell her that he was the player who had been gaming with her all this time, but before he could say anything, Yue Qianling kicked him out. As soon as Gu Xun stepped out of Yue Qianling’s door, she sent him a message on her phone, talking about everything that had happened to her lately.

Yue Qianling said that since they didn’t know each other in real life, she just wanted someone to talk to. Gu Xun told Jiang Junnan that being Little Twist’s emotional outlet wasn’t so bad. Just as he was saying that, someone called to tell him something had happened. When Gu Xun arrived at the office, he found out that their original draft had been leaked—the exact scene Wang Hai had drunkenly bragged about.

Gu Xun’s project, Narrow Path, needed a female character sketch. He and Jiang Junnan came across a drawing online by someone named "Sleep Till You Wake Naturally. " They both felt it was exactly what they were looking for, so Gu Xun reached out to the artist. Su Zheng’s drawings were rejected by Jiang Yishi. Disheartened, Su Zheng threw them all away.

Gu Xun saw them, picked them up, and looked through them—he actually thought Su Zheng’s work was pretty good.
