Blooming Days Episode 36 (Ending) Recap
> Blooming Days Recap
He Lianxin executed Mu Tianshu, after which the Fourth Young Master and the Sixth Young Master led their men to the palace, attempting to force the abdication. Unexpectedly, Mu Tianshu's former subordinates remained loyal to He Lianxin. They only awaited the Lord's command to immediately capture the rebels. The Fourth Young Master and the Sixth Young Master didn't anticipate that this would be a play staged by Mu Tianshu and He Lianxin. Despite Mu Tianshu's resentment towards He Lianxin for betraying his sister, Mu Haiyao had left a letter, hoping that her brother would protect and help He Lianxin. Although her life had been unhappy, she had three warm years of love with He Lianxin. Those comforting years were enough to withstand the loneliness in her heart and the desolation in the separate courtyard. However, Xu Liangchuan also harbored resentment towards He Lianxin and delayed delivering the letter to Mu Tianshu. Unfortunately, Mu Tianshu bore the blame.
He Lianxin didn't intend to execute Mu Tianshu, but Mu Tianshu couldn't let the Lord violate the law for him. This would make it difficult for the Lord to gain the people's support in the future. Mu Tianshu pleaded with He Lianxin to execute him for the sake of Qu Liang. They reminisced about the past, the night before Mu Tianshu married Mu Haiyao, when they drank and discussed ideals and aspirations. Mu Tianshu admired He Lianxin's broad-mindedness and ambition at that moment, deciding to follow him wholeheartedly. They also recalled the time they formulated the details of the new policy, staying awake for two days and nights. Mu Tianshu didn't feel tired but was filled with enthusiasm. It seemed that a prosperous Qu Liang was just around the corner. He Lianxin knew Mu Tianshu was a talented individual and sincerely dedicated to the He family. Unexpectedly, he had to issue the order to execute him, causing deep sorrow.
Upon learning that she had been deceived, the Fourth Lady was captured by the Lord. The Fourth Young Master wanted to take the blame for his wife, falsely claiming to be the head clerk. However, Luo Qinglian arrived and exposed his lie. The Fourth Lady voluntarily went to the Lord's residence, offering herself and pleading for death. He Lianxin didn't meet her but instructed Sunanchun to convey that he accepted her request.
Drinking poisoned wine, the Fourth Lady couldn't accept such a farewell and chose to follow her. Fang Huairui voluntarily sought out the Lord, admitting to her faults and requesting to be relieved of her queen's title. He Lianxin intended to confer the title of queen on Luo Qinglian, but she declined. She hoped He Lianxin would retract the decision. Being a queen would mean losing too much autonomy, making it difficult to regain her original intentions in the future.
The Prime Minister launched an expedition against Qu Liang, a situation He Lianxin didn't anticipate. Surrendering would mean submitting to the Prime Minister, but resisting would jeopardize the peace that his father had worked so hard to build in Qu Liang. He now wanted to hear the voices of the people because Qu Liang wasn't his alone; it belonged to the people. With the enemy at the gates, officials, soldiers, and citizens of Qu Liang united against the external threat. He Lianxin, with the help of the subordinate Geller army, repelled the Prime Minister's hundred thousand troops, dealing a heavy blow and finally restoring the rule of a wise monarch. Qu Liang returned to tranquility.
