Yun Feiran picked a bouquet of flowers and asked Li Yinzhi to give them to Gu Qingzi. When Gu Qingzi saw the flowers, she was deeply saddened, thinking they were meant to mourn Yun Feiran. Li Yinzhi was speechless and threw the flowers, saying that Yun Feiran wasn't dead. Gu Qingzi then realized that the flowers were actually meant for her.
Li Yinzhi said he had a plan. First, he would have Yun Feiran hand over Yan Shangshu's official seal. Then, he would claim that Gu Qingzi had already set her sights on Zijin She and use brutal interrogation to force Yun Feiran to confess to a nonexistent plot of besieging them. This would save Yun Feiran and also force Zijin She to act prematurely.
Li Yinzhi tied up Yun Feiran for interrogation. The melody he played depicted a fierce battle between two armies, sounding somewhat tragic. Gu Qingzi then offered to play a piece for Li Yinzhi. He asked if she couldn't play before, but Gu Qingzi said she could, but only for him.
