Chief Wu came to find Han Xizhou and asked him what he had discussed with Xu Nannan. Chief Wu stated that Xu Nannan was not a member of their forest protection team at all. He questioned why Han Xizhou kept Xu Nannan in this place, putting her in danger. Chief Wu believed that if Han Xizhou truly cared for Xu Nannan, he should keep her away. Han Xizhou asserted that it was Xu Nannan's own affair, and neither he nor Chief Wu had the authority to make decisions for her.
Xu Nannan arrived at the Wishing House, recalling the time when she and Han Xizhou had been at the Wishing Tree. She asked Han Xizhou why he didn't write a wish, and he responded that what he wanted was already by his side. Xu Nannan saw the wish plaque that Han Xizhou wrote, expressing a desire to meet again.
Han Xizhou came to the temple, reminiscing about the past when Xu Nannan had skipped class to bring him here, claiming that wishing here was especially effective. Xu Nannan joined him and asked if he remembered the first time they came here. Han Xizhou assured her that he remembered. Xu Nannan clarified that she was referring to an event twelve years ago.
Xu Nannan stated that she had remembered everything and saw that on the wishing tree, Han Xizhou had written her name. She asked Han Xizhou why he hadn't come to find her all these years.
