Han Xizhou stated that he had looked for Xu Nannan but, upon seeing her start a new life, decided not to disturb her. Han Xizhou asked when Xu Nannan recalled everything, and she mentioned it happened at Huang's place. Xu Nannan felt that the past incidents were not significant; after all, she had only taken a beating. Now, she remembered all those beautiful memories.
Chief Wu was waiting, and when he saw Xu Nannan and Han Xizhou return, Han Xizhou went to help Xu Nannan pack. Chief Wu apologized to Xu Nannan, admitting his selfishness in not telling her the truth and taking Han Xizhou's place. Xu Nannan, however, did not blame him, acknowledging that Chief Wu had treated her well over the years despite taking Han Xizhou's position.
After finishing packing, Han Xizhou came down, and Chief Wu wanted to talk to him privately. Han Xizhou asked Xu Nannan to wait outside. Chief Wu inquired whether Xu Nannan had remembered everything, and Han Xizhou said not entirely. He hoped that Xu Nannan would never recall the worst part. Han Xizhou admitted that he failed to protect Xu Nannan properly. Xu Nannan asserted that everyone is an independent individual, and it's not his responsibility to protect her.
Xu Nannan and Han Xizhou joined the bonfire party, playing Truth or Dare and enjoying themselves. As fireworks lit up the sky, Xu Nannan and Han Xizhou watched together.
