Yan Xing held high hopes for the prescription but felt that the heart's blood of a mirror person would be hard to find. Lu Chuichui was shocked to learn that the mirror person was the late Chen Huo E, yet Yan Xing did not give up and resolved to continue searching. Meanwhile, Jing Lin informed Shen Du that the Yan family had entrusted him with a task—Yan Caiwei was studying the secret techniques of the Lotus Firefly Sect.

Shen Du felt somewhat displeased that the Yan family hadn’t come directly to him for help. At the same time, Han Shiyuan humbled himself in seeking the assistance of Princess Yong’an but was rejected and sent back to the Yan family. The princess openly stated that she was not the one who had poisoned them and was surprised by Han Shiyuan’s request. Shen Du realized that these events were all connected to him and decided to visit Lai Luozhi to investigate.

However, when he arrived, Lai Luozhi’s residence was empty, surrounded only by thick fog. Shen Du accidentally engaged in a fight with a mysterious figure, quickly explaining that he had no intention of trespassing. Lai Luozhi appeared just in time and scolded Shen Du for intruding into her backyard, warning that it could lead to misunderstandings. This encounter made Shen Du realize the complexity of the situation, prompting him to reflect on how to deal with the sudden challenges and mysteries.

The Yan family, Princess Yong’an, Lai Luozhi, and other forces seemed to be intricately linked, weaving together stories of love, hatred, and unresolved conflicts. Shen Du stared intently at Lai Luozhi, demanding to know her true intentions. Lai Luozhi smiled leisurely and revealed that she indeed had something crucial. She handed him a cup of tea, but Jing Lin quickly stopped Shen Du, suspecting it was poisoned.

Lai Luozhi calmly replied that everyone feared this place so much that they dared not even taste the tea. Shen Du, determined, drank it without hesitation, and Lai Luozhi revealed: the heart’s blood of the mirror person was sealed within the specially crafted tea cup. Shen Du closely examined the cup and discovered its intricate design—inside, the heart’s blood was cleverly preserved.

Lai Luozhi explained that this cup had been custom-made by an artisan from the Western Regions, specifically for storing heart's blood. When Shen Du asked for her demands, Lai Luozhi bluntly stated that she required a promise: in exchange for today's help, Shen Du must repay her double in the future. After weighing the pros and cons, Shen Du finally agreed. Meanwhile, Yan Xing's father sought help from Zhang Xiang but returned empty-handed.

The Wise King, hearing about Yan Caiwei’s poisoning, questioned Zhang Xiang. Zhang Xiang’s conspiracy was exposed—he revealed that the poisoning could drive a wedge between the Hero King and Shen Du, preventing Shen Du from aiding the Hero King any further. The Wise King was deeply frustrated, realizing how power struggles had caused people to lose their way. Madam Yang, anxious and distressed, begged Yan Xing to find another solution.

Though her aunt pitied Yan Xing’s efforts, she couldn’t hide her dissatisfaction. Madam Yang suggested turning to Shen Du for help, believing that despite Yan Caiwei’s past transgressions against him, blood ties shouldn’t be severed, and Shen Du should offer a helping hand. Shen Du arrived just in time, agreeing with Madam Yang's sentiment, and revealed that the heart’s blood had already been obtained. Everyone was overjoyed at the news, and Yan Xing quickly prepared the medicine.

To ensure the treatment was safe, Yan Xing resolutely tested the medicine herself. To her surprise, Shen Du also drank it, shocking her. She hurriedly asked about his well-being. Shen Du smiled and reassured her, saying that since he trusted the authenticity of Lai Luozhi’s gift, there was no need to worry. He joked that he hadn’t expected to become the one testing the medicine and quipped that if it were truly poisonous, it was merely fate playing tricks.

Shen Du further expressed his hope that when faced with difficulties, Yan Xing would think of him first, revealing the depth of his affection. Elsewhere, Lai Luozhi’s younger sister questioned her motives, puzzled by her contradictory actions of poisoning and then offering an antidote, as well as exposing herself to Shen Du. Lai Luozhi candidly replied that everything she did was for the benefit of the family, hoping that the sacrifices they made would eventually fulfill their desires.
