Su Yancheng and Yu Shubo both completed their assignments very well, and the results of their first phase of investigation were highly praised by their professor. However, when the professor asked about their next steps, both of them stayed silent. The professor became angry, believing that they had diverted their attention elsewhere and neglected their main project. Su Yancheng shared his ideas for the next phase, but there were some gaps, which Yu Shubo quickly filled in.
This made the professor think the plan was feasible and encouraged both of them to continue their investigation. After Yu Shubo finished his experiment, he ran into Yu Chi. He greeted her casually but was still nervous inside. He didn’t want to spend too much time with Yu Chi and quickly made an excuse to leave. Su Yancheng then asked Bai Xiaoduo to continue with the testing.
This time, Bai Xiaoduo had no psychological burden and was happy to know that she was the only one who could help Su Yancheng. After the experiment, Bai Xiaoduo wanted to act cute and ask Su Yancheng to help her up, but while trying to stand, she accidentally tripped Su Yancheng with the swivel chair, causing him to fall into her lap. At that moment, Yu Chi suddenly appeared.
Seeing an outsider, both Su Yancheng and Bai Xiaoduo quickly pulled apart, and Bai Xiaoduo hurriedly left. That evening, Su Yancheng couldn’t help but think of the image of him and Bai Xiaoduo in an embrace. Suddenly, he was struck with inspiration. After sketching a few pictures, he handed them over to Yu Shufen. From their conversation, Yu Shufen realized that Su Yancheng was in a relationship, although he neither confirmed nor denied it.
Because Yu Shubo had been injured, Bai Xiaoduo went to get medicine for him. After their meeting, Yu Shubo took the initiative to apologize, admitting that he had deceived Bai Xiaoduo by pretending to be Blake while they were getting close. Bai Xiaoduo didn’t hold it against him, and instead, she realized she had been the one who was naive. In the art studio, Su Yancheng and Yu Chi were working together, while Bai Xiaoduo was tidying up nearby.
Watching them work in harmony made Bai Xiaoduo feel a little jealous, so she deliberately kept interrupting them. Yu Chi noticed Bai Xiaoduo’s jealousy, and Su Yancheng, feeling helpless, had to find an excuse to send Bai Xiaoduo away. Yu Chi then asked Su Yancheng how he planned to reveal Blake’s true identity. It turned out that Yu Chi had figured out Su Yancheng’s secret.
Bai Xiaoduo invited Su Yancheng and Yu Chi to dinner, and as they passed by Yu Shubo's office, Bai Xiaoduo wanted to invite him to join. At first, Yu Shubo agreed, but when he saw Yu Chi, he felt embarrassed and was about to refuse. However, he ended up joining them for the meal. During the meal, Su Yancheng made an excuse to go to the bathroom, and Yu Chi seized the opportunity to leave and find Su Yancheng alone.
Since Su Yancheng had been avoiding Yu Chi, he had no choice but to take the initiative. Yu Chi asked Yu Shubo why he was so afraid of hurting others and why he wouldn’t easily refuse, but instead rejected her directly. She wondered if her position in Yu Shubo’s heart was different, but Yu Shubo firmly rejected her. Yu Chi wasn’t upset by the rejection; instead, she quickly adjusted her emotions. Meanwhile, Lin Xiaomiao went to the tennis court to find Xiao Yang, asking him what kind of image she had in his eyes.
