The holiday arrived, and Bai Xiaoduo was preparing to return home. Su Yancheng reluctantly said goodbye to her. Yu Chi had likely found Yu Shubo, and coincidentally, Yu Shubo’s older sister, Yu Shufen, saw them together. Upon noticing Yu Shubo with a girl, Yu Shufen immediately asked about their relationship. Although Yu Shubo didn’t openly admit anything, his expression said it all. Bai Xiaoduo returned home to meet her father, and both she and her mother were very happy to reunite.
Bai Xiaoduo had a great relationship with her father, who adored her and even made a delicious meal for her. Meanwhile, Su Yancheng was alone at home. Su mother sent him a message, telling him it would take a few more days before she could return, and that it wasn’t the same as Bai Xiaoduo being welcomed by her enthusiastic father at home.
Su Yancheng called Bai Xiaoduo, and while they were talking, Bai Xiaoduo’s father knocked on the door, asking her to help with some chores. Su Yancheng, feeling bored being alone at home, started to long for Bai Xiaoduo’s family atmosphere and considered visiting her. However, Bai Xiaoduo had previously lied to Su Yancheng’s mother, claiming that her family ran a Chinese medicine massage chain, and if Su Yancheng visited, he would discover the lie.
Su Yancheng’s father insisted that Su Yancheng go abroad immediately after graduation, so Su Yancheng had been trying to find a way to refuse. However, he hadn’t told Bai Xiaoduo about his plans to study abroad yet. He wasn’t sure how to bring it up to her and worried that such a lie would cause misunderstandings. He spent a lot of time thinking about how to approach the subject, even asking Yu Shufen for advice.
Yu Shufen, seeing that Su Yancheng was now an adult, believed he was capable of making his own decisions. Su Yancheng spent a long time holding his phone, unsure of how to begin the conversation. He tried to contact Bai Xiaoduo, but she was busy helping her father at the Chinese medicine clinic and didn’t have time to reply. That evening, Su Yancheng waited for Bai Xiaoduo’s message, but it never came.
Xiao Yang and Su Yancheng were playing games when Xiao Yang noticed that Su Yancheng seemed distracted. He guessed it was because of Bai Xiaoduo and helped him analyze the situation. In the end, Xiao Yang suggested that Su Yancheng make a surprise visit to Bai Xiaoduo. Su Yancheng decided to surprise Bai Xiaoduo and secretly went to find her.
Bai Xiaoduo was still at home, helping her father run the clinic, when suddenly Tian Chuan showed up, intending to get revenge on her. Just as he was about to make a move, Su Yancheng appeared and chased Tian Chuan away. Before leaving, Tian Chuan warned Su Yancheng not to think things were so simple. Bai Xiaoduo, seeing Su Yancheng, felt anxious because of the lie she had told, and everything was about to be exposed.
At that moment, Bai Xiaoduo’s father had finished preparing a meal and invited Su Yancheng to join them. During dinner, they also learned that Bai Xiaoduo’s mother had passed away. As they were about to leave, Su Yancheng told Bai Xiaoduo that he hated lying. Upon hearing this, Bai Xiaoduo felt a pang of sadness. She saw that rain was about to fall and rushed to get an umbrella, but Su Yancheng was feeling conflicted.
He had come to confess everything to her, but didn’t know how to face her. He turned and walked away. When Bai Xiaoduo returned with the umbrella, Su Yancheng had already disappeared, though Bai Xiaoduo’s father had overheard everything. Bai Xiaoduo’s father had a good impression of Su Yancheng and encouraged her to be sincere in her relationships with others, as only by being truthful can one show their true self. Encouraged by her father, Bai Xiaoduo decided to go and talk to Su Yancheng to explain everything.
